LORD Father, I pray that you continue to use these two, now wedded as husband and wife, for the glory of Yourself and Your kingdom; that the blessing and anointing You will pour upon them in the days ahead will be unequaled by anything previously. It is truly beautiful music. And it is definitely a great heart-cry no matter what country we live in. However, we must also remember 2 Chronicles 7:14 is NOT a promise to us for the United States. It was a promise made to Israel in ancient times. God has made no such covenant with the U.S. or any country beside Israel. I thought I would interject this since this passage is so abused and misused in Christian circles. We must be Biblically literate and educated and understand the importance of context. God may have mercy in certain seasons, and it is good to ask, but He has and will continue to watch the rise and fall of nations throughout the earth - no matter who prayed for their country. The promise was to ancient Israel, and it alone. We have great expectations and great joy seated with Christ, but one day it will be God's kingdom alone that exists. Again, this was not to upset anyone, and the song still speaks volumes and is beautiful. Peace in Christ, friends!
