Thickened polyester resin does not make a good bonding putty, its brittle at thickness. I'd bet the foam filled stringers are saturated and adding 300 to 400 pounds. For those interested in learning how to property "remanufacture" a boat worth saving....check out Metan Marine. CCO guys invest some time and watch how the pros do restoration...with all due respect! Not to mention a foam cored replacement transom vs. coosa board...without 1/2" of structural glass on each side of the foam....it will compress when the engine is bolted on. Sorry...guys!!!

I am surprised that someone has not made molds and built new Sea Craft 23s to sell.Proven hull,I think it would sell.Also I spent many hours fishing on the 18 ft. Sea Craft.For an 18 ft. boat it rode well.Just an idea.Hope the owner can come up with some $ and you can complete this project.Lppks good so far.
