During the mid 90s to mid 00s I amassed a CD collection of around 150 albums and a couple dozen singles. Then, streaming took over and i didn't start collecting until 2015 when i started collecting vinyl. Since then I have a collection of around 200 LPs and a lot of them are britpop reissues. However, recently, the cost of vinyl has grown out of control and I've found myself scouring charity shops for CDs trying to fill in the gaps in my old collection. I really enjoy digging through CDs unearthing some gems for dirt cheap prices. Keep up the good work

Most 90s era used CDs you can get dirt cheap. If you ever come down to London I found most of the Oxfam shops have used CD sections and they have loads from the era and bands (1990s/UK) that you collect, I've picked stuff up on CD priced between 10p and £4 at London's Oxfams, the same will be true in their stores in major towns and cities across the country I guess.

It is very slim pickings up here in Lincolnshire. I will not be able to do it here again for a few months.

So, the UK and here in The Netherlands it looks the same. Lot of 90's stuff and beyond with some best off low budget cd's from artists from the past. The good stuff you find in record stores with higher prices. I have same thrift stores also in my neighborhood when I go hunting, but the good stuff I find is usually when I visit a flea market .. bit higher priced but not as high as in second hand record stores. A well, it's also the excitement to find a gem in a thrift store 👍👍

@Britpop Buzz. To remove creases from posters and book pages, use a dry iron on a solid, flat surface. Place 2 or 3 A4 pieces of paper over the poster, then iron the paper, moving to a different part each time. Make sure not to use a steam iron.

Hi im viewing from New Zealand. I have a large cd collection. Because im in my sixties, it ranges from the 1960s to the early 2000s. All genres Rock / Pop , Soul / Funk , Disco , Punk / New Wave. I also own a large Jazz collection too. I go to charity stores and seek cds as you do. I have some rare ones where im not likely to find another copy of whatever it is. I notice your t - shirt with the group Blur on it. I like them. Also other bands around that time in the 1990s such as Suede , Pulp , Supergrass . One of my favorite groups of the 1980s is Echo & the Bunnymen. Their album Ocean Rain from 1984 is excellent. I bought it on vinyl back then , and played it alot. From Carl.

My little funhouse are an Irish rock band on the heavy side. I’m a metalhead and I’d have got that one for sure. Mostly vinyl addict, but I’ll get cd’s. There’s hardly any metal in the charity shops…mostly the throwaway pop, classical, 70’s easy listening etc. mind you, I did see an Alice in Chains “Facelift” album in an air ambulance charity shop, so that was a pleasant surprise 😊

@@britpopbuzz8564 No one famous, just Grimsby bands. I think I did two or three Battle of the Bands or Rock Open. Once, amusingly, with a band whose drummer hadn't turned up and I learnt the songs in the dressing room. I remember going to see Loud there in 1991 and tried to impress a girl by saying that I knew the guitarist. Which I did.
