CD Player / Center Console - Removal - Seat Leon 1m / Toledo 2 TUTORIAL

In this tutorial I will show you how to remove the radio/cd player unit, ashtray, the hole center console.
You need only a Phillips head screwdriver, a T20 & T25 torx screwdrivers. But for the CD player you need 2 nail files, if you don't want to damage the clips, when you pull the unit out.

hi. I don't have the car anymore. but from what I remember you remove the entire door plastic panel and then you have access to remove the tweeter from the back of the panel.

Salut. Am o intrebare. compartimentul torpedo sau "glove box" se poate schimba, la un seat toledo 2001? Eu am unul cu cd changer si nu imi foloseste. Daca scot magazia de cd-uri nu rezolv nimic, deoarece ramane un spatiu urat, cu fire prin el si spatiul ramane compartimentat aiurea. Multumesc.

salut. banuiesc ca se poate schimba cu un torpedo fara magazie de cd-uri. poti sa cauti unul simplu la dezmembrari. se da usor jos. am 2 clipuri in care arat cum se demonteaza. al meu are doar o mufa pentru bec.

my radio/CD player doesn't require a code. but I know from other people that their radio needed a code after connecting the battery.

Thanks for your help ( video) Sorin. I have a big problem with my Seat Leon 1.9 TDI ( year 2000) everytime it rains. Since several years water enters inside the side of the pilot ( I don't know how, I think is by the door) and then the floor ( carpet) is really wet and it takes weeks,even months ( when there's no so much sunny days). It's for this that I've seen your tutorial,cause the radio doesn't work since the last big storm days but it makes electrical contact and empty the battery 😟 so I wanted desconnect it ( I can't find the right fuse for the radio). I' ve read that this problem with water is frequent in this model ( y. 2000) after changing/repairing something in the door ( window regulator in my case). Could you give me a solution, please? Seal with silicone something, or make holes to evacuate...I'm really desperate cause the car is breaking down because of humidity ( radio, for example).A Big Thanks 🙂

That problem is mostly caused by water leaking between the door and the metal plate with the window regulator. You must unbolt the regulator, clear the old sealant, and then place a bead of sealant between the door and the plate. You don't need to do the whole plate, just the lower middle half. Also, do the same on the speaker, the rivets lose their strength and water goes through. You can easily confirm it, remove the door card, grab a hose and stream water on the outside of the door. If the plate sealant has failed, you'll see it leaking on the bottom of that plate. I have a Toledo (same as a Leon but a sedan) and had to do the four doors, because everytime I opened a door, my feet got wet from all the water accumulated in the sill. But now the car is completely dry.

salut. nu mai stiu pe derost dimensiunile suruburilor, nu am mai umblat de mult timp la consola. daca mai umblu curand, o sa le notez. legat de consola ta, eu zic sa dai jos torpedoul, panoul de sub volan si in final sa demontezi consola centrala si sa o reglezi. suruburile sunt asemanatoare la tot bordul, cred ca sunt doar 3 sau 4 marimi. daca ai mai multe feluri de suruburi, e posibil sa fie schimbate. reglezi si prinzi bine consola centrala, apoi prinzi si restul panourilor. o sa iti ia cateva ore...

hi. I've heard of this problem before, but I did not face it. you can try to force the glove box from the side, to open it a bit. then you can force a long screwdriver inside. there is a plastic hook on the lock, that lowers when you open the glove box. try to force that hook downward with the screw driver.

salut. fata consolei se desface lafel. Displayul sistemului de climatizare e prins cu 2 suruburi in fata si cateva mufe in spate. iar scheletul consolei are acelasi sistem de prindere.

salut. inseamna ca ai radioul codat si ai introdus gresit codul. al meu nu e codat, insa din cate am inteles, ai 2 variante. lasi radioul pornit o ora cu cheia in contact (motorul poate fi pornit sau oprit). dispare eroarea SAFE 2 si iti cere codul. poti sa ceri codul la reprezentanta, o sa te coste ceva... SAU sa cauti un service pe electronica, sa iti decodeze radioul.

daca fostul proprietar ti-a lasat cartea masinii, ar trebui sa ai acolo codul. de obicei sub volan se tine cartea masinii.

Aș putea spune că mă interesează totul.Dar vreau să știu mai mult despre schimburile de ulei,cum se fac,cu ce ulei .... Greu să învăț singur de nicăieri să schimb filtrele singur....și altele.Nu vreau să fiu înțeles greșit,merg cu ea in service absolut când trebuie dar vreau să învăț să fac câte ceva și singur.
