This song has a special place in my heart. I was born and brought up in a Catholic family in Texas and my boyfriend was born and brought up in a strict Hindu family back in India. No spam! I went to watch this movie with my parents when I was young. So few days ago I was listening to all Hindi slowed and lofi version songs, when this song started playing, I was like wait I know this song. After that I couldn’t stop listening to this beautiful song.❤️ It reminds me of simple times, when everything was good and innocent. My dad died in 2020 due some silly mistakes by doctors. All of the song....be it Jashn-e-bahara or Azimo Shah shahenshah or Inn lamhon ke daaman mein....all of them are masterpieces created and this particular song is very very ethereal. It beautifully lays down the feeling of a one sided love and the hope of being loved by the other person some day. Be it the lyrics, the melody, the beat or the picturisation, everything was apt. I think, after this movie, Bajirao Mastani was the only movie that could live up at par with this.
