Slow down on curves Passengers can bring on cargo long as it's not blocking er exits Bus can be towed with passengers inside until you get to a safe location Interlock system activates service brakes

These two separate answers contradict each other: #1) You may haul small arms, emergency shipments of drugs, or hospital supplies on a bus. Total weight of hazardous materials is not greater than 500 lbs. #2) When hauling hazardous materials on a bus the total weight for any one type of substance cannot exceed 100 lbs. WTF? Which one is correct?

Both are actually correct, individually you can only haul 100 lbs of any one Class of hazaradous material, and no more than 500 of any combination of hazardous material on a bus

The question about the railroad track is wrong, you must stop no closer than 50 feet, not 15.

No sir, it was accurate, just worded in a manner that may have been confusing. 15 feet is closer to the tracks than 50 feet. A Passenger Bus must stop no (CLOSER than 15 feet) or FARTHER than 50 feet) from RR Tracks . [As defined by me] Motor vehicles transporting passengers and certain types of hazardous materials, as cited in 49 CFR 392.10(a), are forbidden from crossing railroad tracks without first stopping within 50 feet but no closer than 15 feet, listening, and looking both ways for an approaching train. A Passenger Carrying Bus or Hazmat Placarded Vehicle MUST STOP NO CLOSER than 15 feet from RR Tracks and NO FURTHER than 50 feet from them. or as more commonly worded: (b) Before traversing a railroad grade crossing, the driver of a vehicle described in subdivision (a) shall stop that vehicle not less than 15 nor more than 50 feet from the nearest rail of the track and while so stopped shall listen, and look in both directions along the track, for an approaching train or on-track ... Being a registered Instructor I do remain current on written, pre-trip, and road course knowledge so please STOP spreading misinformation. Hello I have a question I currently have a class A I now have had it going on for almost 4 years. I have tankers, and doubles endorsement. I now want to obtain my “passenger” endorsement. Will I have to re take all the tests over again? Or can I just go and take the passenger test? Thank you.

I am in New York class someone please explain to me how many different tests I have to take at the DMV to be a school bus driver? Is it knowledge test? Airbreaks? S endorsement? And a P endorsement test ?

I can't answer that, however, for my class B with a passenger endorsement to drive any kind of bus (not school bus) and Motorcycle endorsement I had to take 5 written tests: Class B General Knowledge, Passenger endorsement, air brake, and motorcycle test. I was taken by surprise when they told me I had to take the Class C written test also. That seemed a little ridiculous having taken and passed all of the above. So, I took the class C and passed that one also. Not to mention the Dept of Transportation Medical Examiners physical which I also obtained. It took 3 weeks, 3 trips to the DMV, and finally, finally, I'm done. It was a bitch! It also costed $53 for the renewal fee, $99 for the DOT Medical Examiners Report, and all of the trips and studying to finally pass and be done. Like New York, I am in San Diego, Commiefornia which has so many regulations it's just plain stupid considering I have had all of the endorsements since the 1980's. Renewals were just pay the fee every 5 years and the license renewed without taking any tests. I guess they just decided to put the screws to me this time around. Good Luck to you!

I took the test in NY and didn't pass. I got 13/20. Passing is to score a 16/20 on the passenger endorsement exam.

13/16 is 81% so you either passed or missed more than you stated. A quick internet search states that 80% is passing with 16 right out of 20 being a passing score.

Just put it on 2x speed and pause after the question. Try to answer it and resume to see if you got it right. Repeat until you get all of them right. NOTE: there are some that she got wrong
