What a performance !! Place chuck key in old chuck and give it an anticlockwise sharp blow with a hammer - old chuck loosened. Tighten new chuck in the same way; clockwise. Done !!

You dont need all that, just insert the handle of the key (or anything like a nail which fits) in one of the three holes and give it a whack, works for me

i found an old drill, maybe 25 years old hidden in the old things , the problem was just the chunk , now it's better than the new one's

I like this way quick easy and very little risk of injury.. Lot of other ways using the drills own power but lots of ways those can go wrong this seem about as safe as you can get...
