Really great ideas Cori. I have worked along with you every day and made a few extra of some of the pieces too. This is great going for me as I am really bad at not finishing on line courses I sign up for. I counted up yesterday and I have a little metal tin with over 50 pieces waiting to be used 😊. Thanks for teaching us how to use our scraps to make something out of things we just don't know what to do with ! I had trouble with the window thing as always got glue on it no matter how careful , I decided to use score tape and it worked great !!

Great video and series. One question on this one. You have the strips going down the left side of the page. Since this would be close to the binding of the signature, do you add this after the signature is sewn in? Thanks!

I generally try to begin a journal with the end in mind. So, if I’m using thin or old paper in a signature, I’ll add the page reinforcement before I sew it in, to make it more sturdy.

Just wondered, about some of the scraps. Haven't done it yet! Could it work, if you randomly collage it down, on carton, just light glueing. Put it through the laminator and use it then as a hard card, to put behind the pages when writing. Or maybe as a cover for a smaller notebook. If you cut the carton before hand, do the glueing and use a laminating pouch a bit bigger, and you don't cut right to the sides, it could still work? Even for tags, maybe. I know this one will have more work, but eventually, when you have enough paper snips, the really off-cut ones, you could make 'homemade paper' to use as embellishments, or with embellishments.

Absolutely! I’ve made and used laminated covers in the past, and homemade paper is always a favorite. It is just a bit time consuming and I’ve not done it in a while. Great idea though!
