@bladesX2112 The OEMs typically use a fusible link on the output lead of the stock alternator. This is to protect the vehicle's electronics in the event that the alternator experiences a failure in the regulator circuit which causes voltage run-a-way. This is a double edged sword with high-output alternators, so most manufacturers of them do not recommend a fuse on this lead. Of course, we can provide an ANL fuse holder and fuse to any customer that requests this.

So this is just Big 3 kits? My battery for my 1999 Seville is underneath my back seat, I guess I'm SOL when it comes to this. Only running 500RMS on the stock 140amp alt but I getting dimming headlights & RPM drops at idle

Well, not exactly. Given the distance between your alt and battery in your Seville you may be experiencing voltage drop between across the charge lead. I'm happy to custom make a kit specific to your vehicle - hit up my web site for contact info.

When I did my "Big 3 upgrade", I ran a 0 gauge charge lead from the alternator to the battery. 0 gauge from the battery negative to the engine block. And 0 gauge from the battery negative to the frame. Should I also add a 0 gauge from the alternator case or mounting bracket to the frame?

hey, at 5:19 what's it mean "it takes 13.4 volts to keep surface charge on a battery?" and how can this kill a battery? thank you.
