Nung time ko parang wala? , Sa board exam naman wala namang snasabi kung anong method gagamitin, kung saan ka lang comfortable at kung ano master mo yun gamitin mo.

Kippap Education: I solved it again and got 10.99 mm deflection. Double check mo if you got: Reaction ng beam: 22.5 upwards at point A 20 upwards at point B Areas ng MDP Triangles: 101.25, 90, -22.5 Spandrel: -16.875 Reaction ng conjugate beam: 77.625 downwards at point A Moment at point D: 142.875 Question: Sir, base po sa computation ninyo how did you solve the spandrel po? Kasi iba po yung na compute ko, which is 1/4(3)(-15)=-11.25 base po sa formula ng area ng 3rd degree spandrel.

Ang height ng spandrel is not -15. You can get that using the final value ng isang triangular load (-wL^2/6) = -22.5

Nice video sir! Sa tingin ko lang po sir mas madali si 3ME sa problem na yan hehe.. kung master lang mga 3 moment factors sktch lang ng horizontal line from the point of interest sa elastic curve parallel sa original beam then mapapansin na equal si h_A and h_B then kunin lang yung moment sa point na yun then equate haha 😀 pero may mga case na madali, meron rin matagal haha decide nalang kung ano mas less time consuming 😁

Leo Leo sa case na ito kasi the counterclockwise moment is at the right of the reference section. And may mga sign conventions yan kung positive ba or negative ang moment diagram by parts niya. Counterclockwise moments located at the right of the reference section is positive. You can confirm my answer by watching my 3 moment equation and AMM video, all of them gave the same answer as this one.

what if yung hinahanap na slope at deflection ay wala sa gitna at nasa pinaka dulo na point?? how to cut it and what moment areas are we going to use?? kase if sa point C like the example sa gitna ang cut what if the question is find the slope and deflection at point B

You can use any technique to get the shear and moment at any point in the transformed beam. Pwedeng equilibrium equations and not just cutting. Since simply supported ang beam and walang external moment sa support, zero ang deflection sa B. If shear naman, it’s just 154.72/EI

Sir ask lang bale let say yung unit ba ng term na 198(4) is 198Kn.m^2(4m)? Bale ano po unit ng Rb..sorry😁

Ang units ng Rb ay kNm^3. If you divide it by EI (which has a unit of kNm^2), you would get a unit of m, which is the deflection of the beam at that point.

@@KippapEducation sir tanong lang po ulit, nalilito po kasi ako sa consistency ng unit. At 8:40 V+48+72=154.72 Di po ba yung 48 at 72 has a unit of Kn.m^2 then yung 154.72 naman is Kn.m^3? Nacancel po ba yung m? Thanks po.

@@orbital16 wait correction sa inexplain ko haha ang MOMENT sa conjugate beam ang may unit na kNm^3. Ang shear sa conjugate beam has a unit of kNm^2. That's why pag dinivide mo yun ng EI, you would get a unitless quantity na slope.

@@KippapEducation Oks lang po haha. Bale po yung equation sa shear na V+48+72=154.72 Which is V=34.72. So yung 48 at 72, Kn.m^2 unit nila. Paano po yung Rb na 154.72 di po ba Kn.m^3 yun? Hahaha sorry po naguguluhan lang ako if paano mag-arrive sa Kn.m^2 since yung isa is Kn.m^3. Ganyan din sa book na gamit ko hahahaha

It's Area*Moment arm. Compute muna ang area ng bawat shape then measure the distance of their centroid sa point A.

It will not be included (kasi walang length ang rectangle). Na-incorporate na ang effect ng moment sa reactions ng beam.

Good question haha! 1. Cut the beam and consider mo lang left side niya. 2. Make an equation of both the triangular load and spandrel load with respect to x. 3. Find the value of x where shear is equal to zero (kasi that means slope = 0, max deflection) 4. Solve for the moment at that distance and divide by EI to get the magnitude of deflection. Ang nakuha kong sagot is max deflection is 17 mm at x = 5.173 m from the left end. Post ko sa page yung solution soon!

For maximum deflection, cut po kayo ng segment, then set the shear as 0 (Maximum Moment can be found sa 0 shear, and sa method po na ito, ung moment = deflection). Once naka set po kayo ng shear as 0, find x using Summation of Forces vertical. Pag nakuha niyo na ung x, mag moment na kayo kung san kayo nag cut. Ung makukuhang Moment using the x = Max Deflection.

Yup mas madali pero 1. Sobrang tagal niya gawin. 2-3x yung magagamit mong oras sa DIM. 2. Prone to errors ang DIM. Isang mali lang sa pag-iintegrate mali na agad ang solution.
