CORRECTION: We forgot to insert the "c" in the Bending Stress Equation (Mc/I). Here's the correct answers at a) and b): a) fbot = + 1.613 MPa (T) ftop = - 16.159 MPa (C) b) fbot = +4.887 MPa (T) ftop = - 16.524 MPa (C)

sir good eve, regarding po ba sa final stage according sa correction nyo, icocorrect din yung final stage diagram? yung bottom fiber will be tensile and yung top fiber will be compressive? nalito po kasi ako sa direction ng tensile at saka compressive sa final stage, salamat po

hindi po ba sa a) fbot is -16.1586 MPa then ftop po is 1.6131 Mpa

Sir, Pag initial stress lang ang sinabi, kasama ang M_o Pero pag may binanggit na na initial "prestressing" force, duon yung wala pa M_o?

from what I knew po base sa binigay na sample problems sa school namin, yes po pagsinabing prestressing force only hindi po kasama ang moment due to load. correct me if Im wrong po thanks hehe

Yes tama po kayo pareho. 1. Kapag due to prestressing force only, axial stress at bending stress due to prestressing force. 2. Kapag initial stress, dun na kasama lahat, including the bending effect of loadings. (Sorry for the very late reply. Sir hindi na po ba need magmutiply ng 0.80 in solving? Kasi po nasa problem consider 20% loss of prestress at service load?

Ang basic concept po kasi ng Prestressed is from WSD, which is based on service loads alone. Hindi po sa UD na kung factores loads ang ginagamit.
