LOL you can really tell if someone is not from Cebu when he/she uses words that are not commonly used in Cebu. I bet he is from somewhere in Mindanao. Cebuano spoken in Mindanao is a variation of Cebuano spoken in Cebu. Here in Cebu, 'ngilad' or 'bati' is commonly used while 'maot' is rarely used although it's still understood.
