Happy to share another Barko Vlog onboard Starlite Saturn of Starlite Ferries from Cebu to Nasipit the alternative port to Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte. Happy to be back in Nasipit again since the last time I took a ferry to Jagna, Bohol.
They have 2x a week schedule every Tuesday and Saturday at 8pm.

Thank you for sharing another great barkovlog, Mark. Last time I went under those two bridges was in 1999. Every time I sail with ships bound for Butuan directly or via Nasipit from Cebu when I was a kid, first thing I did was to head towards the vessel's sun deck just to have a great view of the bridges as the ship passes beneath it. It's just that exhilarating. Once the ship completely passes the bridges, I stay longer to view the rotating light coming from the old airport aerodome beacon near the Mactan airport. I've experienced traveling on a very packed voyage especially when students and families head back to their respective hometowns for the Holidays. Back in the days when old ex-FS vessels were the most common ferries traversing the Visaya-Mindanao routes, the vessel is already overloaded when the life rafts at the sundeck and the top of the vessel's cargo holds are occupied with passengers. Strangely enough, the Coast Guard back then would still allow the vessel to sail. Everything changed after 1987 during the sinking of the Dona Paz which occurred just days before Christmas.

I can see the Port of Cebu has improved a lot. Its facilities has also improved as compared to the 1990's to early 2000's. A big thanks to DOTR and Philippine Ports Authority.

12hours Cebu/Nasipit mabagal usually 8 to 10hours lang Cebu/Butuan

Ngano man ang Starlite Ferries gipa register ni DAVAO BOY sa Batangas, kung buot isipon mas daghan ang viaje nila from Cebu than Batangas. Should revoke their MARINA registration to Cebu. Insulto sa mga sugbohanon nga base sa Batangas ang galayag.😅😅
