Desde hace años Zhou Shen es mi cantante favorito. Crecí en una familia que a lo largo de generaciones a tenido a muchos músicos de música clásica y en general es obligatorio para todos desde pequeños estudiar canto clásico. En mi vida me han gustado realmente solo 3 voces, pero la primera vez que escuché a Zhou Shen su voz y en especial su manejo vocal me corto la respiración muchas veces en una sola canción, recuerdo que fue absolutamente increíble. Recuerdo que estaba en china y escuché la canción a lo lejos cuando la canción terminó, creo… que hasta asuste a la persona que lo estaba escuchando, yo simplemente tenía que saber quien era esa persona que a mi consideración cantaba como un Ángel. Desde entonces he escuchado casi todas sus canciones y he tratado de asistir a todas las presentaciones que he podido.

Conozco a Shen desde hace unos años, participó en un concurso de voces en China llamado Sing, tipo La voz pero mucho más y mejor coucheado por cantantes consagrados chinos, el cual ganó en una ocasión Shen. A dream would be to see him & Dimash on the same stage singing together. Love them both Dimash is structured in his music, perfect & so is Charlie Shen but for me Charlie wins out- he actually becomes the music. Perfection. It's like your ears get to go on a carousel ride through beautiful tropical warm waters. His singing is truly ethereal.

Actual Song Title is “Listen to the Ringing of Your Doorbell “ It was written & composed by Mr. Gao Xiao-Song, musician, writer, director, host, and bibliophile and ex chairman of Alibaba Music Technology. He has composed many songs but has only allowed 2 singers to sing them to date. When he met Zhou Shen, he was most impressed and decided to sponsor and let ZS sing 10 of his compositions. Doorbell is one of the songs which He gave to ZS in 2016 or so to practice and interpret. However Mr Gao thot the ZS 1st version wasn’t good enuf and believed ZS is capable of putting far more emotions in this song. He asked ZS to send him the final version only if he himself feel he is satisfied with his final work on this song.. It took ZS at least 4 arduous years to practice to arrive at this version. After he sent the final version recorded in his iphone to Mr. Gao who promptly informed him over WeChat video that that was exactly what he was looking from from ZS. This song debutted in 2020 the Singers Show. Incidentally Mr Gao was the first person who truly believed in ZS’s uniquely creative talent, breathtakingly beautiful angelic voice, and personally invested in ZS. He invited ZS to his LAX home recording studio to record his first CD of 10 songs

this is one of my favorite song by zhou shen. there is another nice song called china in the light which he sang with another pro opera singer from china. her name is zhang ye. it was from a 2021 new year show. Also, there is a newer. song called STAR FISH. it is a beautiful song. I think his singing technique went up to another level.

When Zhou Shen tried this song 5 years ago when he passed all competitions and started his singing profession in China, the composer commented that he did not have the voice and the technique for it and so he withdrew it. Five years later, now the composer approached Zhou Shen and requested him to sing this song to the wider audience using his much more refined technique. For comparison, below are the same song "贝加尔湖畔" that Zhou Shen performed with his singing competitor in 2014 (and he beat him) and again in 2020 (when they both became established singers in their own turf). 2:24 Los sonidos nasales son muy carateristiacos en la musica china. Supongo yo que es debido a la influencia de su propio idioma, pues si revisan la cantidad de sonidos que se hacen en el idioma, es muy comun encontrar silabas con desinencias -n y -ng como por ejemplo solo con nombres de artistas que se me vienen a la cabeza: Hua Chen Yu Aska Yang o Zongwei Yang Zhang Bichen Michael Wong o Guang Liang Jackie Chan Zhou Shen Wang Yibo (aunque se conoce mas como actor que como cantante jejejeje XD) Teresa Teng Ahora si miras el PinYin de cualquier texto y cuentas la cantidad de silabas con desinencia -n o -ng pues mas se va a notar.
