Her disliking for reading can be a consequence of her aphantasia. Reading can be boring if you can't figure images in your head. While the mistypes of her desktop setup, since she has her keyboard hidden behind the drawing tablet, and types only with her left hand.

Spanish and Italian have the same roots, so it's "kinda" understandable, and I presume the same applies the other way around. The main problem is that there are a lot of words that are similar, but have completely different meaning / use, so it can get VERY confusing really fast, especially when you add the words that are not shared by both languages, talk fast or add dialects to the mix. Personally, I have Italian ancestry, so I should probably learn the language if I ever decide to go over there, but I found it the to most boring thing ever. I have no idea why. My hypothesis is that since I have absolutely no use for it unless I go there, and the huge similarities to Spanish, it simply kills any motivation I could have. Not to mention the time and effort it takes, which I almost never have to spare.

Usually the words that in italian and Spanish are similar but have a different meaning, have a secondary meaning in the language that's closer, or are anyway related, so that's not difficult to figure. See IE querer (SP to want) - chiedere (IT to ask), or pronto (SP quickly) - pronto (IT ready).
