@noname117spore6 жыл бұрын
I mean, technically the Gatekeeper, Steel Vengeance, and Blue Streak layouts look a bit different than the real things. But he's still named them the same things, and has built them with a nearly identical profile and very, very similar elements and layouts. And when a coaster was inspired by other real life coasters, he'd just combine the names of the 2 real ones, which really didn't work. The mega-lite and maybe the floorless are the only coasters in this park which felt original, and I think that was a huge weakness of the park.
@xx_nicolas_xx83216 жыл бұрын
Exactly what I was thinking
@deathfearsnone6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I found this to be lacking. We are all inspired by real coasters but I'll take that inspiration and build on it instead of stealing 95% of the same layout. I just put out a coaster called gorgon. It is inspired by many rides but doesn't steal from then while being completely different
@syncros41426 жыл бұрын
Its closer to a re-creation of the coasters, but if he called it that, i bet all of the same people would be criticizing that as well, they are all great coasters that have time and effort put into them. It's a great park, great layout and great coaster that, regardless of what they resemble, were still all built by him and the effort shows

Did he just build mirrored Steel Vengeance? I mean, Steel Vengeance itself is ingame, so I'm a bit surprised he'd build the entire thing the other way around. EDIT: It might just be a close representation of it with a few subtle differences here and there.
@syncros41426 жыл бұрын
There are a few differences, he did a dam good job replicating the ride style of it for sure
@noname117spore6 жыл бұрын
I mean, there's a point where you're replicating the style of the ride and there's a point where you're replicating entire sections of the ride. I'll have to rewatch the pov of the one he has and the real one to really spot the differences.
@noname117spore6 жыл бұрын
Ok, so I'm going to list the similarities and differences as I watch: 1: The prelift section is the same. 2: It appears track goes over the lifthill on this ingame one; different from the IRL one. 3: The drop on the ingame one isn't quite as steep as the IRL one. 4: From this point on until the MCBR it seems to do the exact same elements in the exact same order as the IRL Steel Vengeance. The banking, height, and specific location seem to vary between this ingame representation and the real life one, but it's still extremely similar. 5: Both examples do a turn and a double up. 6: Hey! It looks like we got to a major difference now! The ingame coaster goes into an overbanked turn while the IRL Steel Vengeance does a sort of twisty airtime hill. In fact, the coasters are on different sides of the previously traversed track at this point, with the difference occuring during step 5. 7: And the rest of the layout seems different, with some inspiration taken from Twisted Timbers it seems. So basically the first half, and a little bit more, of this coaster is a copy of Steel Vengeance's elements, going in the same order and at approximately the same scale. The final third of the ingame coaster's layout appears to be original though, although with some similar rolls, overbanked turns, and little bunnyhops to SV.

This is a great park! I love the coasters, very realistic with the long queues and the simple and modern theming! The amount of times I see a coaster and the queues are WAYYY too short, finally someone manages to make one long enough! For improvement if you want to make another park, there seemed to be a lot of family rides missing, there are only a couple family flat rides and a little car ride, maybe for your next park, make a water ride like a log flume for example and also a kiddie coaster or 2. I think if you do that, you would have made a PERFECT realistic park! Nice job! :)

@noname117spore6 жыл бұрын
Alright, I liked the overall design of the park. The buildings and scenery were all nice, and it overall had a realistic theme and look to it. The main problem with the park was the coasters. And usually this statement means that the coasters were rough, the G forces were not kept in check, or both. In this case, it's more the layouts and names (although there were a few G-force issues here and there). And what I mean by that is that the layouts and names are mostly to entirely stolen from real-life rides. He'd most of the time copy the exact name and color scheme of the real life ride, and then proceed to build a very similar layout to it. Sometimes he'd combine the names of 2 real life rides and build a layout as a mashup of both of them. It left the coasters feeling very un-inspired and unoriginal, and honestly that was a huge weakness for the park. It's very clearly not a replica park, but right there we have Gatekeeper's key-hole element over the front game, and Valravn, Wicked Twister, and Steel Vengeance sitting around the park. I think the park would've been stellar if he had built some more original layouts and given the coasters original paintjobs and names. But as it stands, it feels more like a KZbinr mashing up a few songs to create a new song rather than a musician writing a song trying to sound a bit like the work of others. EDIT: You know what? I have a better analogy. It's like he needed to write an essay or school, so he looked at the essays of a few other people, stole paragraphs from all of them, mixed them up a bit and combined a few paragraphs, reworded them a little, and submitted it. A lot of work went into this park, but little originality did; at least on the main things people pay attention to (the coasters). Although maybe I am being a little harsh here, as the Intamin Mega-Lite was an original choice, and I'm not sure how closely the arrow suspended or the B&M Floorless and Inverted coasters actually resembled their real-life counterparts. But damn was the near-copying blatantly obvious on a few of them.
@syncros41426 жыл бұрын
He still built all of them, and did a great job. all of them are silky smooth and really enjoyable.
@noname117spore6 жыл бұрын
That is still true. I just wish he went the extra step to make the park feel unique rather than a blatant copy of several real life parks; he certainly has a lot of talent with building both coasters and buildings.
@syncros41426 жыл бұрын
I know your not trying to be rude or anything :) and I do see your "pointe" but what I see here is that spot of no winning, imagine if he called it a replica park, and what the comments would look like haha
@noname117spore6 жыл бұрын
I mean, some different coaster names, colors, and maybe some different decorations on theming and decorations would've helped him out significantly. I think some of the similarities between the coasters and their real life counterparts would've been apparent, but the park would've felt more like it's own thing rather than trying to take the identities of parks like Cedar Point and Kings Dominion.
@ulrich_wulfgang20886 жыл бұрын

A very nice park. My only feedback is I would of liked to of seen the coasters have different colour schemes to there real life counterparts and completely different names. I also felt that on some coasters espcially the rmc and the wooden I feel that you've tried to put your own twist on it which is good but the elements are too low to the ground meaning the ride feels very forced round the track instead of smoothly flowing through. Anyway great park.
@oliverpalin77066 жыл бұрын
1 last thing I feel you felt forced to copy the real life counter park that much you got a bit lost with making a smooth efficient ride and ended up trying to 're create what the ride does in real life. The trims on maverick was the one that brought this to my attention.
