Cedar Point - May 29 Thunderstorm 2011

I was working at Cedar Point that day! It was intense.. The midway flooded pretty good and so did the midway! Something I wont forget anytime soon!

I was there that day. My friend and I were waiting for Dragster when you were filming the people waiting for Dragster. When it started raining, my friend and I jumped out of line. It rained so hard, his phone was fried even though it was in his pocket. He wasn't happy.

Now dude you are what I call a professional!!!!!!! :D You provide us with Cedar Point footage that is in great quality, but not only that provide us with the cool footage of the park without cropping or cutting to a new area and I really appreciate that man!!!! :D

Nice video Andrew. I knew other people who were there. The Main Arcade was packed and some made it up to the ballroom. Others were in the Red Garter etc. the Dragster store starts to flood a bit. The Sky Ride store flooded. then when they walked out there were parts of the midway and main lot that were really deep. Man those guys who had to direct traffic had it the worst! - Brian

CoasterBob62 I was waiting in line for disaster transport that day. Got to the front of the line and the ride attendant said it was closed. Went back outside and the sky turned three to four different colors and the clouds were rotating. It was scary but cool at the same time.

never been here before my whole life. been bugging my dad to take me here for long time. and i herd my fav song break away my childhood song but i rather come here on a sunny day not a thunderstorm. cuz i'm scared of thunderstorm

@amusement420 I heard that they was flooding, didn't know there was that much. There was a lot of water just in the parking lot. I feel bad for the parking lot guys, hope they got something extra.

I was in Georgia at my nieces swim meet when we litarrly got evacuated and before we got in the parking lot it started pouring on us and we had to drive through it to get home and it was SUMMER and I was a bit freaked out bit I kept it in it was scary then about a ur ago or later that yr the same thing happens but this time it's winter and we were all asleep I had to carry my nefew down two flights of stairs man tornados and tornado warnings suck

Wow to bad thos people traffic cars where stuck out in that rain storm thunderstorm. Too bad they had to suffer out there. And there's no way I would do that I have a fear of thunderstorms.

It was a few days before this (did not go on a Sunday) I was there and was really amazed at the findings. Funnel clouds, so much rain that it turned everything into a lake of a few inches while inside an old-fashioned diner with my group. Somehow the odds of going to an amusement park with weather this bad is rare. (Almost every year I went the conditions were pleasant.) Given the odds; I had not seen anything like it before, even one of the employees in the restaurant. Interestingly, the weather did not let up, and so on the ride home I saw a lightning bolt shaped as a heart. Well, we remember how many records in 2011 natural disasters (and record highs) made. Where did the time go? It is 2016!
