Hello my fellow theme park travelers and researchers! If you want to see what Hotel Breakers looks like, this is definitely the video for you! It will show you lots of footage of the hotel, what some of the restaurants look like, what the inside of the hotel room looks like, and what the beach area look like.

If you found my video, that means that you like to research things and know before you go. When you are spending around $300 a night to stay at Hotel Breakers, it's good to have an idea of what it looks like and why you are paying that much!
When we were dropped off at the hotel, I was surprised to see how close the Cedar Point amusement park entrance was to the hotel. It really is only a 5 minute walk to the entrance of the park which was really convenient. I chose not to rent a car (a decision that I ended up regretting and talk more about in my Cedar Point Vlog day 1 video--please watch).
If you do end up driving and staying at Hotel Breakers, you can park in the outdoor parking area without having to pay an additional parking fee. There is no inside parking structure.
My first impression of Hotel Breakers was definitely positive. It was more beautiful than I expected and I feel like it was designed well. The lobby is nice and it has a Southern plantation feel with the balcony on the inside of the lobby and the way the stairs are laid out. The employees were friendly although it was a bit understaffed due to the time of year we were visiting. We were there at the very beginning of June. I didn't have to wait long to get checked in.
I had a lot of questions up on arrival to Hotel Breakers and the hotel employee who checked me in was more than happy to answer them. He spend a lot of time explaining where things were, how to get to the amusement park, and how my Fast Lane Plus Passes worked.
The lobby of Hotel Breakers has 2 restaurants. One is Perkins Bakery which specializes in Baked goods and breakfast items. They do serve other meals as well, but we only had breakfast there. The other restaurant is Tomo which is a Hibachi grill and sushi place. This was out of our price range and so we did not end up eating there. The last restaurant choice at Hotel Breakers is TGI Friday's. I thought that both the food and the service were okay but not anything special.
We ended up staying on the 5th floor of the hotel which was fine. We were further from the lobby, but closer to the amusement park entrance which was nice. We had a room with 2 queen beds, 1 bathroom, a small refrigerator, and microwave. The room was small but still quite nice. It had a splash of bright colors but was still modern and classy. Our beds were extremely comfortable which was great. I would absolutely stay at Hotel Breakers again and hope that I will be able to visit in the near future.
The only difficult thing about our stay ended up being the fact that we were next to a large group of high schoolers who were visiting Cedar Point for their senior trip. They were pretty loud at night, but we were so exhausted that it ended up being fine.
The back/rear section of the hotel is definitely the most beautiful in my opinion. As you exit the hotel on the back side, you get an absolutely amazing and unobstructed view of Lake Erie. As soon as I saw this view and the incredible beach area, I immediately understood why Hotel Breakers is on the expensive side. There are games set up on the beach for kids and adults alike. Some of the games were large connect 4 stations, bean bag tosses, volleyball, and more. There are brightly colored umbrellas set up all along the beach and there is also a gazebo where musicians come and play. It really is such fun area! I hardly had any time to visit the beach while I was there because we were too busy riding roller coasters and the weather was a bit too cold. If I have the chance to come back again, I will definitely make sure to schedule extra time for the beach.
It was evident that whoever designed the hotel did so with all age groups in mind. It would be a great place to stay for a family reunion.
There are 2 swimming pools at Hotel Breakers--one indoor and one outdoor pool. I went to the indoor pool one night after it rained and it was great to just sit in the hot tub. The indoor pool is nice but the outdoor one is definitely nicer. I love how you can see Lake Erie from the pool!
The last section of Hotel Breakers that I show in this video is the gift shop. It's located near the front entrance to the left. There are some fun souvenirs that I didn't see anywhere else.
I would absolutely recommend staying here! Such a fun, beautiful, and convenient place to stay.
