An EIGHTY foot drop and buried underneath the snow for about FORTY minutes?! For him to not have any lasting injury after that is an amazing miracle, to say the least!

Thank God that Gregg's friend was able to dig himself out in the snow, otherwise, they both would've been goners.

I had to rewind this, did Greg really just make a comment about "pretty nurses".... why yes, yes he did. The medical staff must have known he'd be ok when catcalled "Hello Nurse!" everytime they walked in.

Today’s the 30th anniversary of when this happened so Grant is 41 and Greg is 42 now. This happened 3 days before my father’s 38th birthday and 2 months before I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina.

It’s been 28 years since this happened so Grant is 39 and Greg is 40 now. I suppose they’re both married with children and tell them this story. If Ken and Rene haven’t been there, Greg wouldn’t be here today. I’m sure he thanked them for they did for him and can never thank them enough. But I do think that Grant deserves some thanks too. This happened on a Monday. When I found out that Greg was buried in the snow, I was scared. I thought that he would die. If there were any ravines near my house, which there aren’t, I wouldn’t play near them because I know what’s dangerous and what’s safe. Deerfield is near Syracuse.

I remember seeing this episode on TV back in the 90s and amazed how much has changed in nearly 30 years. I loved the upstate New York setting, but I’ve known numerous people from upstate New York and they don’t have accents nearly that thick like all these people do. But that’s back when most people spoke with an obvious regional accent if they weren’t from the Rocky Mountain or west coast states. Today those boys would be an exception they’re articulate and respectful. Video games were a piece of entertainment, not something you lived on. And preteen boys being interested in the opposite sex back then was nothing unusual. Nowadays most under 20’s are pretty much infantilized. And that place they’re at the end is the long defunct Discovery Zone, a business that never quite succeeded.
