Johanne Morissette Daug Amon-Lamar (/mɒrɪˈsɛt/ MORR-ih-SET; born June 2, 1996), known professionally as Morissette and frequently also referred to as Morissette Amon, is a Filipina singer, songwriter, producer and former actress. She first rose to prominence when she was the runner-up on TV5's Star Factor at the age of 14. In 2012, she made her professional stage debut in the Repertory Philippines stage adaptation of Disney's Camp Rock in the role of Mitchie Torres. She competed in the first season of ABS-CBN's The Voice of the Philippines in 2013, where she became part of Sarah Geronimo's team. She became a recording artist of Star Music in early 2014 and released her first album, titled Morissette, in March 2015. In 2017 she was called "The Next Big Diva".
Morissette's vocal type is a lyric soprano with five octaves and four notes (G♯2 - C6 - D8), making her the singer that has the widest known vocal range in the Philippines

Akin Ka Na Lang was the reason why I started following her and been listening to her songs till now. Her voice heals the ❤️. We just saw her live in concert few days ago in the Bay Area. It’s nothing like watching her perform up close! She’s an amazing, bubbly and down-to-earth person!

I went to Dubai to her concert what an experience. She is everything you said , she came down into the audience and did that whistle so amazing. Morissette's whistles are powerful, pleasing to the ears, very smooth, very long, with extra tones within the register and unpredictable while Other popular artists will do a full stop disconnecting the notes then whistle. Her low notes are very low while her high notes are very high and her transitions are very smooth. It's really like listening to many divas packed in one small body because she sings and performs in all genres and in several languages. 😍🏆👏

Since you interjected Jasmine into this video, I believe it's time to to give us your take on the original Jasmine, Lea Salonga. Her 10 year anniversary version of "On My Own" is considered by many to be the best performance of the best show tune ever written. Along with Regine Velasquez, she is an idol of our modern queen, Morissette. Please give a listen to her rendition of "What Kind of Fool Am I", another Broadway standard, and try not to be overwhelmed. I never get chills, but these ladies bring tears to my eyes every time.
