I recently bought Vibrant Vetiver after testing and comparing against Bal D'Afrique - the original scent was amazing, but with the cost of living pressures at the moment, I'm not spending Australian $300+ for a bottle of the original. Absolutely enjoying VV in its place - it's a gorgeous, refreshing scent that really lifts my mood and helps me shine during the hot summer days. Not sure I will ever buy the original - there's just not a big enough difference to justify it.

@troycastle5640 No, they don't smell exactly the same. Now that I've had it for a while I find that Vibrant Vetiver is brighter and more citrusy than Bal D'Afrique, which is softer, creamier, and more rounded. I personally prefer the brightness of Vibrant Vetiver - it's more refreshing than warm /tropical.

Good morning, Cee! Fabulous comparison review here. I think I might actually enjoy the Paris Corner more, due to the muted blackcurrant in favour of a more citrus scent. And of course the savings is terrific. Summer scents are definitely something I need more of, as I tend towards the heavier heady side. To that end, if you ever wondered if you made lives better with your reviews, I was gifted Sheikh Shuyukh luxe edition by my son, after a deep dive into your reviews and research on Fragrantica etc. I’m so in love with it! It is perfect for me and you convinced him of this fact. I’m so grateful and happy! The tightest hug and smiles from this glorious scent bubble today, my sweet friend! The side by side comparisons are so useful - recently I have got Middle Eastern alternatives but kind of wished I’d saved up and got the originals, other times I’ve been glad I saved my money. I don’t find my bottle of VV not as bright and fresh as baldafrique but Vibrant Orange and Neroli is close enough to sundazed for me not to want the original.

Last week, I was torn between ordering Rich Santal or Vibrant Vetiver Delight. I ended up ordering Rich Santal because I was afraid VVD would be too citrusy. I love the comparison! ❤Thank you for your amazing review and detailed description. I guess I’m buying VVD next 😅 .

In a sense, they are in a similar scent direction as Vibrant Vetiver, but with the addition of fruit. I have a feeling they will be incredibly durable. Simply a feminine wonder for hot days. Hey Cee, love Bal d’Afrique, and while I’m yet to pick up vibrant vetiver (I definitely will), I did pick up the perfume parlour extract version (called African Art), and that one projects well and is very long lasting. I’ll always have that rendition in my collection. Thanks for these informative videos ❤️❤️! Keep safe.

@@DDH64812 sorry I didn’t reply earlier on me it’s about a good 6-7 hours but it’s quite potent the more it macerates so for my skin now I get about 8 hours and stays on cloths until the next wash. Almost forget I live in Africa so the climate might play a role in the performance

I own bal dafrique and its almost empty. I love it but I cant standddd blackcurrant LoL I just tolerate it since its in the opening. I think ill like the the vibrant vetiver and try that as a replacement! This is why I like clones cause sometimes the small changes they make actually removes notes & components I dislike in the originals!

Thank you for sharing. I’ve been eyeing this Vibrant Vetiver. I’m so trying to come up with a Vetiver perfume I’d love. Fell in love with Vetiver years back in a bar soap by Claus Porto in Vetiver. It’s was the biggest bar soap ever and smelled like heaven. Can’t find the same bar exactly. Want a Vetiver perfume.

It’s very similar to Neroli Portofino. I’m not too keen on the NP DNA that’s why l didn’t buy it but you can certainly get the Maison Alhambra one if you want. They nailed that clone 🥰

I wanted to try the Vetiver vibe so I got a guerlain Vetiver 5 ml sample . I must say NOT for ME 🤔. Will appeal to some BUT it's exactly like mowing the lawn and jumping face first into the grass cuttings. Talk about GREEN 🙄 ?. I have fragrances with Vetiver in them but those are fresh more pleasing. So my ??? IS does all Vetiver smell like damp fresh cut grass. Is Polo or this Paris corner emir more fresh er safe. Just curious I realise this is an old post. But for example they say the old original Eau Savage is Vetiver but I used to have that and it's a million miles away from guerlain Vetiver.

They are soft so people perceive soft fragrances differently but let’s say 6 hours on the byredo and may 5 on the Paris Corner one 🥰
