I love your story of almost stepping aside for the animated canna, how wonderful. 😊

Your visits to such esteemed and historical gardens are extra special for us who live outside of the UK and cannot easily visit them. Thank you very much and I look forward to part two!!

Isn't that Dahlia Karma Choc stunning against the Canna? Apart from the beautiful gardens, I always think that the house is a sight for sore eyes but I wouldn't want to be responsible for the upkeep. Buildings like this seem to stand the test of time and I'm full of admiration for the builders who didn't have labour saving inventions back then. Do you ever see Fergus in the garden? He seems to have been at Great Dixter for ever as I remember seeing him on earlier episodes of Gardeners' World. Mind you, if I worked there I wouldn't want to leave either. I'm looking forward to seeing part 2.

Hi Wendy, ‘Karma Choc’ & the canna are a truly delicious combination! The house has such charming character, doesn't it, and we love the Great Hall, one of the largest surviving timber framed halls in England. Yes, we did see Fergus walking through the garden, what a legend!

I love Dixter but find the music spoils it. I'd much rather hear the sounds of nature. However, your filming is wonderful.
