Celebrating 20 years of the Continental GT

A unique global relay, marking 20 years of the Continental GT, has reached its conclusion with the arrival in Crewe of the specially-made 20th Anniversary baton. The baton’s lap of the world included stops in Europe, the Middle East, China, Asia Pacific, the US and UK, visiting 20 journalists and content creators in the process as part of 20 memorable drives - one for each year of Continental GT production.
The launch of the first-generation Continental GT in 2003 marked a seismic change in the fortunes of Bentley Motors. The first all-new Bentley of the modern era, the first with all-wheel drive and the first to feature the innovative W12 engine, the Continental GT swiftly propelled Bentley to its current status as the most sought-after luxury car brand in the world.

I sometimes fly around the world once or twice in a month. And sometimes I’ll have a Bentley mixed in with the other cargo that I’ll fly. I’ve flown quite a few Bentleys over the years!

My husband and I test drove a Bentley Continental last weekend. The dealership was shady, we were not permitted to see any of their inventory, only ask to see specific vehicles listed online and then they would bring them out to us. We were not permitted to enter their office, I suppose there was one., etc., view other inventory, etc. they had a Mercedes S Class on their website. We were not permitted to see who else was working there, what they were doing to vehicles listed for sale, etc. There was a screwdriver in the trunk, some other tool with electrical tape behind the drivers seat, etc. Bentley is known for electrical problems if you read a little. Understand this is not the fault of Bentley; I have wanted a Bentley for 20 years, and was prepared to pay for one. We were not shopping for a car as we already own nice vehicles but this was an ad I saw for a vehicle I have wanted a long time. Unfortunately in the US, shady Russian and Armenian dealerships largely owned by former boastful gang/mafia members do not appeal to us as consumers. After viewing this ad posted yesterday, with no reference to our country, we are making other arrangements. We drove a 2024 Chevrolet Corvette off the showroom floor after we left this shady dealership.

Next time fly over to Zurich Switzerland and visit the Bentley dealer here. They will show and explain you everything and even spend you a free very good coffee in between all the beautiful models. Not only Bentleys but also many other famous luxury brand's 😉
