Celebrating 75 Years of The Triumph Owners' Motor Cycle Club

In 1949 the Triumph M.C.C. was established by six enthusiastic owners, namely E.A. Fuller, E. Fuller, D.N. Bill, J. Chalk, G.C. Leach and H. Turnbull on November 22nd, 1949, with an inaugural meeting held at Chatham Hall, Battersea.
Upon a request from the Triumph Egg. Co. Ltd., the club was renamed...
'The Triumph Owners M.C.C.'
Now 75 years later, the Club is stronger than ever with over 8200 members in 61 Branches.
A 75th celebration needs a special plane Shelsey Walsh is a unique venue. Set in some of England's most beautiful and rural countryside in the Malvern Hills of Worcestershire, Shelsey Walsh was first used on 12th August 1905. It was the first purpose built motor sport venue in history and is the oldest motor sport venue in the world still to run events on the original course.

No. 2 - 1923 Model H - Andrew Innes. A 550cc side-valve four-stroke, a total of 30,000 machines were produced for military service between 1915 and the end of the First World War in 1918 where it earned the nickname the 'Trusty' Triumph due to its great reliability. Production of the model H ended in 1924.
No. 13 - Race Tiger Cub - Roy de Jersey. Built and raced by Roy de Jersey in the 60s and 70s on the hill climb at Le Val des Torres, the Triumph Tiger Cub has a 1958 frame, 1962 swing-arm and a 1968 engine. It was originally forced into retirement by a more competitive 2-stroke Bultaco 250 in 1974. Renewed interest in the Pre-1975 British Motorcycle class in the early 2000s saw a number of vintage machines and their veteran riders return to "The Terres". Prior to its first outing in 1974, Roy totally stripped and restored the Cub. The end result was a motorcycle as it stands here today; significantly better than ever before. Roy continued to race it, securing many class wins, until finally retiring from all disciplines in motorcycle sport in 2015. The Cub is now ridden by Roy's son, Colin, who currently holds the Pre-1975 British Motorcycle class record with a time of 38.78 set in August 2017.

No. 105 - Rocket X - Dennis Le Prevost (film producer). To celebrate 10 years as the world's largest capacity (2294cc) mass-produced motorcycle, Triumph released this black-look numbered limited edition. It was limited to 500 motorcycles and came with individually numbered side panels. The paint scheme was created by 8 Ball and amongst the black-look components are the exhaust system, handlebars, mirrors, and wheels. This Rocket X #348/500 has been owned since new by Dennis Le Prevost, who became a Triumph convert after purchasing this machine, having owned mostly Japanese and Austrian bikes since the age of 14. On his retirement in 2016, Dennis rode the Rocket X through 30 European countries in exactly 90 days and maintains that this is the most comfortable 'touring-bike' he has ever owned. Dennis will be attending the 20th anniversary celebrations in June 2024 on his Rocket XX !!
