Celebrating Baby Hannah ║ Large Family Vlog │ Baby #9

In this video, we have Baby Hannah's welcome party and our KZbin baby shower (shown in a separate video.) I didn't get very much video of the actual party because I was too busy talking. I also forgot to get pictures with people holding Baby Hannah, except for a few. I also do a few new baby "chores" like getting our birth certificate paperwork, filling in the family Bible, putting away all of the baby gifts and working on thank you notes. This video covers Hannah's 2nd, 3rd and 4th weeks of life.

Watching this again, the buffet table brought tears to my eyes: it's so beautiful! The way you used the flowers on the cakes, the shiny pink "it's a girl" kisses, the pretty white plates & silver cutlery, all on that beautiful quilt. I know! I am so excited. I was using my phone the other day and had my hand resting on the bump and she pressed into my hand with her little foot! I was able to make out her arch and heel! I tapped back gently and she gently kicked back! She’s such a little sweet thing!

Be thankful every second for nine healthy children. There are so many things that can happen. But God has blessed your family with health. That's worth so much more than gold. We can live with small houses, older cars. Etc. but if the children are healthy NOTHING else matters, not really. Be thankful.

I seen when you were writing in the book that one of your children was born in Buffalo, NY, did you live there? Thats so cool, I am close to Buffalo, I am in Niagara Falls.

Actually, it's Buffalo, WY, but I suppose that looks almost exactly the same when I write it! Asher, Judah, Justus and Claudia were all born in Buffalo, Wyoming. My grandparents (Grandma Fern and Grandpa Kenny) lived there when I was young and one of my uncles settled there. His wife is a nurse and the doctor she works for attended our boys' births there. As for New York, I've visited NYC, but I've never been to Buffalo. I think my mom visited Niagara Falls once.

Yes! You must've driven right past Moorcroft on I-90. Buffalo is 100 miles west of us. My grandparents (Kenny & Fern) lived there while I was growing up and we spent a lot of time in Buffalo. They had a big, beautiful log house at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains. (My grandparents moved to Sundance in 1994.) We had an emergency vet visit in Buffalo once, too. I can't remember what happened now, but my cat was with me for a week at Grandma's and some incident happened that necessitated a vet visit. That must've been around 1988. Do you suppose you visited the same vet in 1999? Wouldn't that be funny?!

She's got the cutest coordinating headbands! So nice to win a roast! I wish I won a roast when my daughter was born. She was 10 lbs 12 oz. Then, she was 12 lbs at 3 weeks. Hannah's thighs are so bite-able!

I was the baby born closest to New Years in 1980 in our county, and I wasn’t born until January 2nd. It must have been a slow year for babies.

That's how it was with Thomas, too. He was born in a small hospital in Newcastle, Wyoming, on January 5, 2002. He was the first birth the hospital had that year so there was a story about him in the newspaper. Not a lot of babies born there!

Someone reported it and KZbin took it down for "Inappropriate Content," which, if you've ever watched many birth videos on KZbin, you'll know is a bit silly. We've done an appeal, but it's taking forever for them to review it. The guy we talked to said what happened with our video was "rare" and he wasn't sure why it was treated as it was, but we still haven't got any new information about whether or not it will go back up. If it doesn't, I'll probably just upload it again.
