I am Hindu from India and followed this trip since starting, learned a lot of things on how to cross the border with vehicle, learned about the beautiful countries - Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi. I was mesmerized to know that these countries are so much developed, have rich and unique cultures, people were amazing and loving, welcomed with big heart and open arms, The mosques in Najaf were next level, Kuwait - I had a different though on this country, I thought it was a destroyed nation or so BUT this whole series was an eye opener, this country is magnificent. Various areas and cities of the Kingdom have different traditional Dances with different acts and wordings. Each dance represents the tradition of that region or area. In “Najd” or Riyadh and Quaseem Area, the Dance is called “Ardah Najdiyyah” (عرضة نجدية) which is the most famous and mostly performed on National Events and by The Royal Family. In Northern Part, there Dance called “Al-Hajini” (الهجيني) which performed on Camel, in Southern Part, there Dances include “Dammah“ (دمة), “Zamil” (الزامل) and “Al-Majroor” (المجرور). In Hijaz area (Makkah and Jeddah) dances include “Mizmar” (مزمار) which is the most Common one and the one in your video, beside “Al-Samri” (السامري), “Al-Yanbawi” (ينبعاوي), and “Ardah Hijaziyyah” (عرضة حجازية). On the Eastern Cost various types of Dances which are mostly related to Sea and Fishing, but most famous one is “Ardah Saifiyyah” (عرضة سيفية). The best option to see tone of these dances is to attend local weddings in which they perform these dances.

A strange reminder to myself as I lived as a child in Mecca, very close to Kaaba for nearly 6 yrs. It was "Amara - Tal- Kaki and my father was a very well respected physician in Mecca working in Jayyad Hospital. That was 1962 - 67. Now I work as a Dr in Mental Health in England where I've settled for 31 yrs. I'm also a biker and have a BMW 1150 GSA. Hope one day you must tour England as well and if you visit South East of the country then I'll make a point that I come to meet you or take you around some very historical places near my home, especially some castles where history of modern England began.
