A humble meek personality. Helped found the Chief Priest of Afro Beat and the Africa Shrine, Olufela Anikulapo Kuti's musical ensemble. So unassuming, calm, a sage and visionary. His articulate account of his association with the maestro, and history of the band's sojourn through metamorphosis, as it gradually delved and identified more as a vociferously outspoken organ against political oppression, and socio-economic injustice threw a bright light on his, Baba Ani and Fela's legacy. As a young man who was a constant at the Shrine when it was based at Surulere Night Club and then transitioned to Empire Hotel Idi-oro, in 1974 to be specific, Baba Ani used to let us come on stage and hang with the band as it warmed up, before the Chief Priest's arrival for the night's show. He loved the young people and they felt free and loved him back. He will live longer. Great baritone 🎷 saxophonist too, in fact all saxes. Eku orire Baba Ani, e pe funwa!🔔👍👏

Oh Thank you for this show. These are names i heard when I was growing up. But i never see these great people Fela and ani. I work in lagos island and friends return from weekend tell how babe Ani performs at the shrine. It's was nice to hear people like this speak about the past.

Femi is older now, I hope he let go of his stubborness and petty jealousy of Seun, two can play the game. he should unite all Fela bands and families alive. posterity will judge all of us..Happy birthday Baba ani, wish you long life in good health, and posterity...🎂💯🎉🎈⭐🎁🎆🍾🍷.

Do everything possible to reconcile Baba Ani and Fela family. Let Yemi call Femi and try to make peace with him so Fela spirit will be happy with them considering his age.

Femi that is not fair the way you treated Baba Ani , Not the Best at all. We need to hear your own side of stories. Settle your grievance with the Old man.

Femi has always been a stumbling block right from whe. Fela was still alive. Femi would love to enrise fela's legacy if he could. Femi is not a decent man.
