Happy anniversary. The table setting was very beautiful. I would love if Patrick could share more German recipes; having happily lived and worked in Hiedelberg and a hamlet near Trier for several years when younger, I loved the food, especially the cakes!!.. I do hope you can rehome a couple or few donkeys soon. I could not help but wonder how many of those donkeys with stickers on thier rumps, might end up bought by the meatmen, and even worse than French Abattoirs, could be facing a long journey without food or water, to Italy, where they are destined to become salami. I didn't rate the chances of the poor old boy with the floppy ears having a happy ending. Thank heavens for people like you who can step in to offer the well deserved retirement home that the previous owners who worked them into old age SHOULD be providing them with.

Stuart I always love your music picks. Your first pick was used in the TV show, “My Little Margie” with Gale Storm in the mid 1950’s. Loved it a few years later in syndication. The celebration looked a great success. Donkeys! I’m very partial to the one whose ears were perpendicular to its head. There is a breed of donkey that is peculiar to France, by the way. A wonderful endeavor to save them.

There is or was, haven’t been in years, an event at Hancock Shaker Village, near West Stockbridge, Massachusetts all about heritage breeds. One year quite a number of years back, there was one of these donkeys and I was enthralled. Thank you for the information.

Good morning Everybody - It was so cold yesterday, cloudy and rain, but today it is sunshine and a lovely video, my day is made! It is lovely to see you all, the dinner party was a huge success, all that should have been there, attended. The table was set lovely, and the food looked delicious. You have excelled yourselves in the kitchen once more and the cake looked gorgeous, wow. Oh I so loved to see those donkeys. They are such beautiful animals, they deserve a lot more attention and love in comparison to what they get, in general. They all looked in very good condition, their coats were lovely, good colour and their eyes were so gentle. They sure loved the loving attention, and it would be great to save a couple, they are perfect for the chateaux grounds so also a goat or two. Then again, we should only keep what we can handle, too many becomes too much. It was lovely sharing with you and Stuart. Angela always looks so relaxed and content. Many blessings.

Just catching up! The dinner looked scrumptious! I love dressing up tables when guests come over. Denise did a beautiful job. It would be wonderful to see donkeys at the chateau. What beautiful animals they are. I get very triggered Patrick when I hear that animals are treated cruelly, and it’s just inhumane that they are sent to a slaughter house once their usefullness is over.Only humans conduct such horrific cruelty. Remembering staying up late Saturday night to watch b&w tv and learn which celebrities joined Irv in studio. A more gentile time many years ago.
