Celebrating subscriptions with a 1976 Corvette Stingray sway bar install

Thanks for the video. I have a 74 vette and was able to put a beefier(if that's even a word hahaha) sway bar on than the original on. Oh yeah and I have to cut/grind the fittings like you did as well.

I have a torch red 1977 corvette.I have put 15,000 dollars in upgrades,and performance enhancements in my baby.I have long tube hooker headers,High perfomance exhaust manifold,Racing exhaust,many many more.Its a head turner,draws a crowd when i take it out,Many thumbs up.people love classic corvettes for sure.russell wayne boyd.

Thanks for the video, as the instructions were pretty worthless. It took about 4 hours, because none of the holes were in my 63.

Thank's for response, I understand that an military wrap was around the eyelet as an backup incase of spring break. If I remember right Detroit Spring said they were for shipping purposes, to hold the springs together. Thank you for highlighting the fact that aftermarket parts are a pain in the neck from time to time.

thanks for the comment Mariano. i don't now how the stock setup without the sway bar felt, because as soon as i bought the car i immediately tore it down to the frame. it feels tight when cornering i guess.

I just bought a 74. I am getting ready to replace the rear wheel bearings and the ujoints. Is this sway bar on there from the factory or is it an add on you can do?

thanks for the comment Michael Farley. this is an aftermarket sway bar. there should be provision for a sway bar located on the swing arms and frame.

What size are the rear anti roll bar bushes as I've brought used bar but needs new rubbers. And I need to knw what size I need. Great video helps alot. 👍

if it is factory stabilizer the part number for bushing is 3872955 stabilizer bushing

What size tires are you running? Trying to install one on my 74 but my tires are too wide.

thanks for the comment T.C.B. GARAGE. i am running P245/60/R15 all four corners. i relocated the emergency brake cable mount to the top of the trailing arm and it freed up some room.

Unless that’s a track day car, with a massive powered big block, that rear sway bar is way too thick. And those are street tires so I’m guessing it’s not a track day car, but a street cruiser. The largest a street car should have if it’s a small block or a big block is 7/8, and the center of the end link requires a spring, not a solid spacer, or the rear will drive the front, even with a 1 1/8 front sway bar. Why do you think that this sway bar meets your application? Big mistake in my opinion.
