Celebrating the Super Bowl with the HOMELESS - A day to Remember !! ❤️

In a world where we often get lost in our own lives, it's easy to forget about the struggles of those around us. The story I just shared with you highlights the reality that while many of us are excited for the Super Bowl, there are those who are struggling to survive on the streets.
As I drove around looking for homeless friends to invite to watch the game, I was faced with rejection and disappointment. But I didn't give up. I continued searching, and eventually, I found Shalandra. She was grateful for the opportunity to enjoy the game and have a comfortable place to stay for a few nights.
It's important to remember that not all homeless people are scary or bad. They are human beings just like you and me who have fallen on hard times. In fact, the average American is just two paychecks away from becoming homeless.
So, what can we do to help? The answer is simple: we can do our part in the community. We can volunteer at a local shelter or soup kitchen, donate money or food, or simply be kind to those we encounter who may be in need.
It's easy to get caught up in our own lives, but imagine how much better our communities would be if we all took a moment to help those around us who are struggling. By doing so, we can change one person's life at a time.
Remember, together we can make a difference. Let's spread love, kindness, and hope. God bless.

I was homeless for a handful of months back in 2017. I had two kids under five and an ailing mother-in-law with us. In order to find an apartment, you need so much verification paperwork and stability to be approved. I reached out and had a friend work on my resume with me and was able to find a job in two months and moved to Oak Park. Three moves and two jobs later I’m at a house in Rancho Cordova and giving back to our locals like the sweetheart Shalandra brings me immense happiness. I love this community of humble souls and love to see all the good you bring our unhoused neighbors. Thank you sir!
