This was a wonderful video & tour of the Bryson Farm Supply store. Stores like this are so hard to come by these days & it was a joy to listen to Debbie as she told of the history of the store & her family. I wish we could get back to more places like this where the kindness of people shine. I know you & Corie could have spend days there just looking around & listening to Debbie & learning from her. Hugs!

Debbie has so many wonderful memories of growing up in her families store, she needs to write them down to make a book to sell in the store. All the seed information of who brought them to in, gardening tips, things farmers have shared with her over the years about farm animals, feed and anything else she can recall that people ask her about when they come in the store. It would be a fantastic book to read and families would enjoy having to pass down to their children. Great seeing around the store, hearing some stories and learning about the beans. Thank you for sharing!

I love that. When I was in junior high, I got a crank call asking if I had Prince Albert in a can. A voice came behind them, "What are you doing? Don't do that!" The other person got on the phone & apologized for the prank. I recognized the voice. It was my friend from school & her little sister was pranking people in her phone book. We all got a great laugh from that.

I love those places and the OLDER the BETTER !!! I have always gone up to Elroy Wisconsin and bought a new Lamp or woodworking there !!! It is on a short 2 block area that runs through the town and sometimes you see 2 trucks sitting and Men Folk are talking about what ever in the MIDDLE OF the ROAD I don't mind at all just go around them so they can still talk about what ever!!!

So nice to see a small business so successful in this day and age of big box stores. The town I grew up in used to be that way but now all of the businesses in that town are "mall stores". Sad to see because it's another level of disconnection of face to face contact between people. Thanks for the video Tipper and Corey! Love this, love businesses like this. My great uncle has ran a parts store/ junkyard in McCaysville Ga for I know 60 years. He will be 89 years old and still does his best to keep the doors open. He has worked the place 6 days a week for all those years. It has downsized to what it use to be but it’s still in operation. It’s s big part of my childhood. I would go with my grandpa and hangout down there. It was a place where all of the old timers would hangout around the wood heater and gossip and trade pocket knives or just whittle on a piece of cedar. All of those older guys are gone now but can still see them all sitting around the heater or on the warmer days sitting out in the sun. Good memories for me. I hope to one day make the trip to visit this place.

Its a family heirloom as it the first thing my step father bought for my mom for their new lives together. It was at an antique fair in Niles CA. In like 82... It was the most important piece out of my parents house when we had to move it on. A few cook books a recipe card boxes and some old memories were worth more than the million dollar house to me...

So far, so good. And seems like Billy Ray had a bunch of trucks at one time. Been by there lots of times but always had somewhere else to be and was usually in a truck of some kind. Looks like the old family stores that had a little of everything for when times was hard. I could tell you were wanting to get square dab in the middle of all those beans. Lots of good eating there and yes mam, they's butter beans and dinner but lunch for my Sweetie. I always toted a dinner bucket. Still do when I go but everybody runs off to eat lunch.
