I remember when we had friends pass in a car accident years ago, the preacher said for us to remember the family months from now. When everyone has gone home and returned to their lives, these families will still need prayers, kind words, and monetary help. Maybe in helping at thanksgiving and Christmas. God bless them all.

Some people in East Tennessee are sleeping on bare damp floors because everything was ruined by water and they have nothing. Us along with our ministry partners have been collecting padded cots, cold weather sleeping bags, blankets, tarps and plastic totes to prevent what they do have from molding and at least getting them a place to sleep off the ground. These are people who are in remote places only reachable by foot and elderly who cannot hike out. It's absolutely heartbreaking. Little is much when God is in it and our little KZbin community has rallied in ways we never imagined. So many prayers for everyone. Our hearts just ache.

My husband is on his way home now from taking supplies. He was part of a convoy from our area taking donations. They were directed to go to a church, that they hadn’t originally planned on going to, & it ended up being the answer to the pastor’s prayer, just this morning. He had to turn away over a hundred people this morning & had become desperate & cried out to God. Then a couple hours later our supplies arrived! 😭 My husband just kept telling me how bad it is there. 💔

I don't know whether you remember the little books, the names of which I can't recall any longer, which had short stories of God's providence in them?. I loved reading them as a child, I am almost 60 now, and there are 2 stories which I remember today, one which is pertinent to this situation post Helene. It was of a mother alone with her 3 children, and the floods came. Mother kept getting her babies higher and higher until she had to breach the roof, and she got her babies up there. For some reason they didn't think she WAS at home, the neighbours I mean, until they saw a small light on the roof and the men of the town came to rescue them, and they were saved before the roof was covered in water too. I do not know why God allowed this to happen, but He is STILL Sovereign and loving. The 2nd story was of a girl who was very poor and needed new shoes, but her parents couldn't afford any. So she prayed for shiny red shoes with a buckle on them. God answered that sweet child's prayer and although I live in country NSW Australia I am praying for you all and for the neighbours who, although they might live 1000's of miles away from NC are the Good Samaritans of this time! I have no money as I am financially poor, but I can pray for you all, and I will continue to do so for weeks and months to come. God WILL continue to surprise His people and bless them, showing His goodness and His love! Stay strong and keep the faith. God bless you, your family, and your community! He is still on the throne!

The damage is so terrible that it's going to take all of us supporting them and other ways to get this job done. Fema sure as the dickens won't do it. But the Church can. Thank you, Tipper for all these updates. It makes me cry, too, and pray, pray, pray.

We are in Burke County (the eastern most hit on the i40 corridor). We are so blessed to have only had small trees down on our homestead. My son and his wife lost 2 of their 3 cars to a 150 old oak tree, but we are so thankful they are alive as a different wind direction could have taken out their entire home. Our community has come together and our local churches have stepped up in amazing ways. We’re humbled and suffering from survivors guilt. Personally I’m overwhelmed by the amount of helicopters flying over us each day and the love shown to our community. Keep talking about it Tipper! We all need to hear how we can help! Everyone has a story to share about how they are affected by this catastrophe! Love to you and yours! ❤ Kimberly form Morganton, NC

I’m at hurricane veteran. If you’ve lost your home you’ve lost your readers and/or eyeglasses. Old eyeglasses that you no longer use are a blessing to someone who lost everything. If your house didn’t flood but maybe lost part of the roof..damp aid helps suck the water out of the air in the house. They even make them that hang in closets. You’d be surprised how much water they suck out. Black roofing felt, tarps and nails. My area makes comeback coolers that include the needed supplies. We write words of encouragement on the cooler to let them know eventually everything will be ok. The cooler provides the victims a way to store food. Relief organizations will provide the ice for the cooler. The Methodist church has a relief organization called UMCOR that goes to the disaster area to provide supplies and help cleaning up. Our local sheriff is collecting and delivering supplies. They’re also setting up to cook and distribute meals. We always give to the local law enforcement or churches because they’re reaching the victims faster than a national organization.

It eases my heart just a bit to see some many people working together from all over the world to help. I’ve been watching Mark Honeycutts videos and a bunch of others, and it’s unbelievably hard to see the destruction. It’s so heartbreaking that people have had to experience such incredible loss of everything and even of their loved ones. I just so badly for them to be helped in every way possible. We’re praying here at my home with my family, but there are prayer chains everywhere around here, and that feels so important. Have you seen Cody Henson’s videos? He’s got a link there on one of his videos for a young man named James Smith, who has enormous lists for the local places in and around Ashville where people can go for help to help or to get just about anything they might need. Thank you again, Tipper. Be well & take care.

Those mountains and Cherokee County are such a good part of my childhood. Only time my family was happy and had a sense of peace is when we went there every October for many years. I've longed to move there. I guess I think I feel closer to my mother there(she died in 79 in Vanderbilt from brain tumor surgery at 40.) She and I fell in love with those mountains and she being an artist saw them from that perspective. I waded in creeks there and picked up big rocks of most beautiful crystal quartz. I loaded back of our camper with them every trip. I dontvhave a single one of them today but they like the mountains are imprinted in my heart. God bless in mercy all of our brothers, sisters there.

Oh my heart, Dolly Parton has always shown a humble and loving heart. I just watched a video where she announced from her personal account a 1 million dollar donation and her combined businesses another 1 million. I will always patron her businesses! Just wanted to share that bright spot in this.

Through the Department of Defense and in coordination with FEMA, 400 active-duty service members are in western North Carolina communities. They are from XVIII Airborne Corps including members of the 82nd Airborne and other units. This support includes command and control personnel, transportation, infrastructure support, supplies and services, fuel and other support. So far FEMA has delivered more than 7.4 million meals and 8 million liters of water. FEMA has an additional 600 staff on the ground in NC.

Please keep advocating for the victims of the horrific floods! I cried the whole of this video. I can tell your heart is broken. We are in Ohio and are gathering up supplies and goods to take to NC. So many groups are trying to help and so much is needed!! It is devastating to see this on the news. Praying SO hard for all victims, workers, families. May God keep his loiving arms around them.

Thank you Tipper for continuing to let us know what is needed. In the morning at church we will be taking up a love offering to send to Samaritan's Purse. We trust them to purchase and distribute the goods. We also will have a special prayer meeting. This is the most horrible thing ever. Love from Texas.

Tipper it is sad to say but when there is a disaster there will be some people that will take advantage of peoples goodness. I have watched so many videos that it has made me feel so sad. The devastation is so horrible that it is hard to watch, my heart goes out to all the people that lost family and homes and everything they had. You are right, that this is going to take years to recover from this storm and destruction. I continue to pray for the people affected, by the hurricane Helene, that God will comfort them.

These are our people Tipper. I think all native North Carolinians who’ve been to all these beautiful places that have been affected or have friends & family there, we feel this devastation. I’ve cried every time I’ve looked at social media. I’ve gotten in touch with most of mine and thank God they are safe. Some lost their homes but thankfully none lost their lives. We built a cabin in Cosby & I haven’t been able to find out if it was damaged or not. When my husband passed I lost touch with most in the area. I needed to hang on to the happy memories so I haven’t been back. I’ve been able to help with collections that are being trucked in with several different groups. But at bedtime it’s difficult to sleep. Those images are hard for me, I cannot even begin to think what they are feeling. I pray for all to be protected & healed especially mentally. Southerners know how to be tough and resilient physically and come back but emotionally this will take its toll on many. 🙏🙏🙏
