That was a blessed “Home Going Service for Bishop Carlton Pearson”. It was a solemn and beautiful way to honor his legacy. It was good to hear words of expression from his family and a blessing to hear his daughter “Majeste” sing alongside “Yolanda Adams”. I pray the memory of this day of celebration will bring comfort to the family during this time of bereavement. Bishop Carlton Pearson will be deeply missed! R.I.P.

Truth be told this celebration was a pre doctrinal shift Pearson! This was how services were before the “bishop” abdicated his orthodox Christian theological position. If you listen to some of his quotes the last 20 years they were borderline if not a rejection of major Biblical themes. How then can we honestly give him a “homegoing service” when he questioned the authority of that which many hold to be true? Look up his doctrinal shift quotes. How he mocked what he previously taught and what many who were at his celebration still believe today. Then people send him home? To where? Pull up some of his quotes at “spiritual centers” not churches he was invited to and listen to him denigrate the Bible.

Bishop Carlton Pearson was ahead of his time. I thank him for helping me to think differently. He had said on his channel that other preachers had called him agreeing with him about his feelings of inclusion but won't say anything for fear of losing their congregations, churches, and money!! Transformation Church did an excellent job. Pastor Todd was awesome. Bishop Carlton Pearson was definitely chosen to touch the world. Many hurt him and, unfortunately, Gina divorced him in 2019. Pastor McIntosh and Pastor Mike did an amazing job with the celebration. The Music was uplifting and the speaker Bishop Ray was outstanding. As he said, "Today is not a day to reconcile, the unreconcilable" but to celebrate a legacy. What was most telling and touching was Bishop Carlton's final message to everyone.

I’m fighting back tears through this service…. I left the church…. A few years ago… due to so much abuse , that actually came from people that were supposed to love me… but I forgive. This was one of the most beautiful home going services I have ever seen… the energy is so pure a union of people who simply love the Lord and have the deep desire to just praise him until another dimension has been presented to them ❤️

@@shermaine7579 Nice. I discovered Bishop around 95 or 96 and met him when he came to VA Beach (CBN) to hold Azusa under the tent. I was working the service and saw him a few times before during and after the services. He and his wife had a few conversations with me. I saw him again about a year later in VA and he remembered me. His music was instrumental in my spiritual growth back then during my college years. He will be missed. I feel more connection to him than my own father

Love ain’t the issue. Truth was and is from a Biblical basis which he for 20 years after the Azusa conferences repudiated! Opposite of Paul who initially opposed the faith then became its staunchest defender Pearson seemingly repudiated Biblical ideas and was applauded as being courageous for it! This celebration of life we see here is by people who believe the tenets of the faith including ideas of heaven and hell and facsimile of what he had before his doctrinal shift.

Bishop Ray summed up Bishop Pearson's life and message of love and hope in seven minutes. We can all learn from the life of Bishop Pearson, and if we live long enough, we will experience suffering, betrayal, and pain. However, King David said it best. It was good for me to suffer so that I may learn his statues. Carlton taught us the meaning of agape and that love is not mere words but action. Christ died to prove his love. Bishop Pearson lived and loved to prove his.

As a Muslim and student of The Honorable Louis Farrakhan. I'm proud to have met this man as a young COGIC child. I met him in Syracuse Kansas as I attended Christian Academy under Pastor Page an oiler. He came during that time and our conversation was about his hair. I lauph now not knowing that conversation would jolt me as a proud black man. He had every white in that arena bowing down. Pastor Page walked me to the pulpit and said "this young man wants to meet you, He's going to preach Jesus Christ" He bent down, rubbed my nappy head and said " with God's anointing all over you. Azusa is gone, but its breath simply made way to us to see, comprehend and come to know that God still speaks and is an expansive God. Bishop Carlton Pearson saw the continuing expansion of Gods voice, movement and energy in the Earth. Because he remained open, God was able to give him a glimpse of man’s next understanding and knowing of God: a shared community of humanity, experiencing and living LOVE to and with all. Inclusion and Expanding Consciousness is Gods spirit in us, which Azusa was preparing us for: deeper understanding of our Creator and the love God has for his entire creation. Thank you Bishop Pearson for both: the Azusa tradition which was a doorway into the expanding and inclusive heart of an awesome God that LOVES, LOVES, LOVES all. Thank you for introducing the extended door from Azusa to Inclusion and Expanded(ing) Consciousness. Gina Pearson summed it up beautifully. To Gina, Julian and Majeste and the entire Pearson family, much love, grace and courage bestowed upon you all. Your life Bishop was a standard that never veered from Gods love. Your life was not an error but a reflection of Gods love to pursue us further into the depth of Gods alliance to its creation. Your love for God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost was infectious, alluring and inspiring. Some of us, walked with you in the first and second portion of your journey because we too were hearing and experiencing our God just as you were. We aren’t big names or celebrities: just common folk who love God and couldn’t separate ourselves from you. We knew us to be ONE with you and God. We will all meet up again. 🙏🏽❤️

I fell in absolute love with Bishop when MSNBC did a documentary on him 2008. I am an Atheist but man loved him. Brave soul that shamed the money changers. He took the prize out of the cereal box !!! He paid the price for all of it!!! He rose like a fuckin' phoenix into the stratosphere. You will be missed

Rubbish! Who do you think are attending this service? Those who embrace orthodox Christian teaching even on heaven and hell! Many were blessed by Pearsons preaching, teaching, charisma. That’s not a doubt. But when any “trumps “ the authority of Scripture they have to be held accountable. He remained defiant on his views nullifying what the Bible clearly teaches on hell for the lost! This was what caused a schism between believers in Christ and had nothing to do with “money changers!” He single-handedly caused a schism because of his doctrinal shift and only God knows the damage he caused with his bad theology.

Im from South Africa .. O how i loved this brother so dearly ...He will surely be missed .. I remember him since the Azusa days .. I followed him even until his evolutional expandment in consciousness .. He was a brother filled with love for absolutely EVERYONE , ( including those religious ones that persecuted him after his new developement in consciousness ) I will forever love him ..Through his songs and ministry over the years , i have been blessed tremendously .. Bishop Pearson would have been oner joyed with happiness if he could see his funeral. It seemed like he loved singing praises to God Almighty. My first was written so bad i had to write it over. God Almighty is our comforter at a time like this.
