Celebration of Life: Gene Hultin

Gene was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 7, 1940, to Elmer Eugene Hultin and Gladys Helen Hultin. After high school, he served in the US Navy for 9 years as a submariner. After leaving the Navy he became a fireman for James Island Fire Department for several years. He later pursued Law enforcement serving as a patrolman, detective and narcotic agent for Charleston County over a 10-year period. He finished his career as a stevedore for several companies on the waterfront. He loved to fish, hunt, and ride his Harley. Above all he loved to work in his wood working shop. He recently celebrated 30 years of sobriety as the result of being a devoted AA member. What he valued most of all was his relationship with his Lord Jesus and served him through his church at Fort Johnson Baptist as a deacon. He loved his God, family, and country, and served them well.
