They left out a lot of context as to why Lil Wayne says he's never experienced racism. When he was young, he shot himself trying to end his life. When the cops showed up, he said men his color kicked in the door, stepped over his body laying there bleeding, and it was a white cop that stopped at him saw a boy in serious condition and immediately rendered aid, not caring what color he was. The cops name was Robert Hoobler, who Lil Wayne calls 'Uncle Bob'. He scooped up a 12 year old Wayne and put him in his own police car and personally rushed him to the hospital, leaving the other cops searching the house for drugs or something to get his family in trouble. He remained friends with 'Uncle Bob'. Lil Wayne also says how can rampant racism exist when there are so many black millionares in the country and that half his album sales or more are from white people buying his albums and making him a very wealthy black man.

Yep. History is not kind. Evil has existed and unfortunately will continue to exist so we shouldn’t be trying to hide parts of it because of potential “offense.” It’s asinine. Trying to hide certain parts of history because of its supposed “offensiveness” is nothing more than revisionism.

I think you guys would LOVE Martin Short as Jiminy Glick. He interviews other celebrities as the worst interviewer ever and it's hilarious. The ones being interviewed don't know what he's going to say. Check it out. I think you'll like it, especially when he interviews Ice Cube 😅

The irony, of course, is that this video dramatically sensationalizes these exchanges as unforgettable and " brutal shut downs", doing EXACTLY what the interviewers were doing. And we, of course, are eating it up. Reference @7:10 what Morgan Freeman says "stop talking about it". This video rehashes these moments reignites the conversation. And they're probably doing it intentionally...just like these interviewers...right? Some things never change

i watched that interview with Morgan Freeman when it aired. I was screaming in approval. The thing is, that was at least 20 years ago. He sounded radical back then. I'm sure the BLM crowd consider him an old crank. I have a more personal comment for you, Daz and Mike. It's time to add Max to the intro!
@garyi.136016 күн бұрын
I agree everyone has a right to their opinion, however, that is just for things where there's no right or wrong such as your favorite color. While facts aren't opinion based. So when Daz said the guy wasn't being honest about an offsides, that wasn't about opinion. When it's visible that it was not offsides then not agreeing with it is then being wrong. And being wrong can't be defended by saying it's an opinion.

What annoys me, is that folks LOVE to stuff others into little boxes with neat labels, which none of us really fit into any way, and then any time someone in those boxes becomes successful they then get pressured to be a "voice" or "represent" everyone else in that box. Why? Why should they? None of us WANTED to be shoved in those boxes in the first place! And nobody really WANTS to "represent" a whole bunch of strangers either, they just want to be left alone to get on with living their life and doing their thing. Why can't we just be happy for them and be content with them JUST doing their thing? If THEY choose to do anything else, or anything more, then of course support them - but stop pressuring others to stand up when WE are perfectly capable of doing that ourselves if we wanted and tried.

Nah. If you can't talk about things like that with people, that's on them. True adults can have spirited discussions and then stay cool afterwords. One of my favorite people to talk to hates Trump for example but I kinda like him. We talk about those things all the time because I like hearing what people who think differently than me have to say.
