Celebrity Beyond | Our First Celebrity Cruise | Embarkation Day | Room Tour and More

So this was our 14th cruise. We've taken 1 Disney cruise, 1 Carnival cruise and until now the rest of our cruises have been with both Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. We had been reluctant to cruise with Celebrity because all we've ever heard about Celebrity is that it's a boring cruise line with older people and while we're in our 40's and 50's we are people that love to laugh and have a good time. After doing a bit of research and reading all of the amazing reviews of the ship, we booked our very first Celebrity cruise. We figured this will be the first time we're actually going on a cruise with the expectation of relaxing and taking it easy - no water slides or activities to distract us from the vacation we thought we could enjoy. Spoiler alert: While there was nothing wrong with Celebrity Beyond we quickly discovered it was not for us. I can spend a day maybe two relaxing but an entire week of "relaxing" was brutal. Carnival and Celebrity it seems are at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of vibe and atmosphere. For me, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean are a happy medium.
