As I type, I'm sitting in my Aqua Class cabin on Celebrity Eclipse. We've cruised Celebrity before, and the room is the same as a standard veranda room. What you get, for nearly $2000/couple more, is access to Blu restaurant and the Persian Garden and Relaxation Room. Everything else shown here are available to everyone on board. My vote: NOT WORTH IT. Take the standard veranda room, and use the $2K on specialty dining and spa treatments and maybe some nicer excursions. Last, while Blu and other specialty restaurants are very nice, the included dining room is really nice, too.

I suppose it depends how much the upgrade is. We got ours for not much more than the standard balcony and thought it was good value - we loved Blu and the thermal spa area on the Eclipse, it was perfect for sitting back and enjoying the bow view as we sailed in the fjords. But like you say it depends on the cost to upgrade as the room is really no different to a balcony room. Thanks for watching 😊

I loved the Aqua class and the Blu restaurant, the only thing I found is that as they are just under the pool deck side extensions , the balcony is most of the time in the shade...

I took the Aqua Class on Reflection recently. Disappointed! The problems: 1. The mattress might be collapsed by a former overweight guest. It hurt my back because the mattress could not support my 65Kg body. 2. The umbrella in the stateroom was broken and the house manager did not bother to put a new one before we boarded the ship. 3. The Blu restaurant claimed to provide more "clean" food. It is misleading. What does it mean by "clean"? On the first day, the breakfast hurt my stomach and made me and my wife sick. The drink and food are of high sugar content. They even put ton of sugar into the bread which to be made into French toast. On top of the French toast, they put another layer sugar syrups. Even in the dinner, they only provide high sugar dissert without any healthy fruit plates. They served us sugar tweeted tea in our stateroom. The words "clean food" give me the wrong impression that I could get more healthy food but it was not the case! I would rather to eat the breakfast buffet than to eat the breakfast in the Blu restaurant because I can control how much sugar I took.

Nice work as usual, A lot of people I know just really get Aqua for dining in Blu each night rather than go to the main dining room where you me be given a pager and asked to come back later, for the upgrade if on a budget I would rather get a specialty dining package and go to Murano's for a few nights were the service is one to one. That said if i wasn't on a budget I would then get a sky suite and dine in Michael's instead.

Thanks for your comment sir. Blu is a very popular dining venue but like you, I wouldn't necessarily book Aqua Class just for the restaurant. I totally agree with you, for the Aqua premium, you can purchase additional packages that'll enhance your experience and you'll still have change for tips at the end of it. Murano's is indeed exceptional!

I went to Blu but some nights opted for moonlight sonata which I didn't particularly like - far too busy and crowded. Would definitely book aqua class again!

I was on the Norwegian fjords cruise last week.... Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to cruise with comfort. I didn't get a kettle and tea in my aqua class stateroom though!

I use to always sail in Aqua Class..But so many amenities have been eliminated like: 1-Personalized stationary with b your name on it 2-Fresh Flowers everyday in the cabin. 3-Designer soaps and shampoos in individual mini bottles 4-use to get Two tote bags now down to one that is flimsy. 5-Blu restaurant is overrated why, because If I sail in a regular Veranda Cabin, the money Insave I can eat in a Specialty restaurant every night which is better then Blu and cheaper. The Cabins are identical except for the showerhead...Aqua Class has priced itself so high that it is no bargain. And as Elite Plus on Celebrity, I get more amenities then Aqau class.

Yes agree, i usually compare price to regular balcony cabin. It us always about $500CAD more each fir Aqua, so not worth it.

We really enjoyed Aqua Class on a transatlantic a few years ago, same ship. Dining at Blu was a highlight and we really enjoyed the relaxation room and Persian Garden, too. This video is a good overview of the Aqua Class voyage.

Well, after examining the footage we gathered of the two voyages we did, at this point, they don't pass our 'quality control' and therefore we are reluctant to put out a sub-standard video review if the footage is less than perfect. Great video and review (as usual). To be exact, there are two grades of Aquaclass cabins. Most are A2 and are on deck 9. A1, slightly more expensive are all on deck 11. If you are a Captain's Club Member (highly recommended) you can book an A2 and then claim an automatic upgrade to A1 at no extra cost - probably 1st come 1st served. The big problem with this ship is the absurd price of Wi-Fi. Royal is off the market. It is charging almost 1000% more of the MSC and Costa tariff. And there are even reports that Royal was the first to join the popular internet. A huge lie!
