A few years ago, my mother hired a contractor to install a privacy fence around her new house. Two guys were working in the back when I arrived from work and stopped by her place, as usual. We lived close by. When I went to see how the work was coming along, I was completely floored by the sight of one of the men. He was the doppelgänger of Tom Selleck! Everything about him: the eyes, mustache, and even the smile. We talked and he told me that he gets mistaken for the actor everywhere he goes. He even went to a Las Vegas show with his wife and he was suddenly the center of attention and was invited to go on the stage for everyone to see. He was a really nice guy and didn’t let his ego get the best of him, but he did like to have fun and fool people, just for laughs. Lucky wife.

Oh, this reminds me...in the mid-80s, I went to see a new OB/GYN after a move to a different city. To my delight, she had life-size posters of Tom Selleck on the CEILINGS of her exam rooms, right over the exam tables! She laughed when I commented on it, saying that she thought it would be nice to give her patients a fun distraction. It would've been even better if Mr. Selleck could be in the delivery room with me, though! Or his impersonator, for that matter...🤰❤ 😄

In her younger days my sister bore a striking resemblance to Princess Diana. Especially with the hairstyle she had at the time. People would often do double takes in airports. Years later we saw a guy at Fair Park in Dallas who looked almost identical to her husband. We kept staring at the guy in amazement. We secretly snapped a picture of the man and sent it to my brother-in-law. He was amazed at the resemblance too!

When I was in school people told me that I looked like another girl there, but I never saw her. I think its because we didn't look a like, most people see the same type of person and think: "Yep they are twins." While we maybe had only the same jacket and haircut. But to have same face features is really rare and people don't pay so much attention to that.

Can I be honest here? I personally thought the impersonator of Rihanna was much more beautiful than the actual Rihanna. I cannot stand her. Talentless hack. I never thought that I would dislike anyone more than Madonna, then Rihanna came along..I just think she is awful. No offence is meant to people who actually like her. I just don't see the appeal. And yes I agree with you about the racism also I’m from America and I’m white and I have noticed that the people who seem to be racist are the people of color. I’m from Alabama and yes racism went on in the 40’s and 50’s but when I was growing up it wasn’t something that went on. I wasn’t racist and I didn’t know anyone who was.
