Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. I'm waiting for the time they actually START to play it and, after the first nose is shown, the PA stops him and says, "Can't use that one." James sucks it up and moves on to the next nose- "Can't use that one, either." James looks baffled, but charges on to the next one. "James, put the nose down. We can't use that one." Then James gets visibly frustrated and asks why not. "They were last week's noses." So James gets a TINY bit cross and goes, "We- what?! Well, for Pete's sake, then send down THIS week's noses! How'd last week's noses get in here, anyway? Send down the proper noses." And the PA goes, "We can't." And James SLOOOOOOWLY replies, "Whyyyyyy noooooot?" And the PA says, "Not enough in the budget to print both sets in time." So James gets huffy. "Not enough in the- that... that's ridiculous, you know that, don't you? A hundred bucks and an intern sent to Kinko's for thirty minutes- you COULD have told me about this earlier, y'know. I was here ALL. BLOODY. DAY." PA replies, "Thought of that. Intern is on vacation. You sent him." James blanches at that and goes, "Oh. Yeah. Okay. I actually remember that. Good chap, works hard. Deserved the break." Then he takes a deep breath and asks, "So what am I supposed to do, then, with last week's noses that we can't use? And why CAN'T we use them, anyway?" So the PA answers, "The celebrities gave permission for their noses to be used only once and for that week only. One of them has had a nose job done since then, anyway. You'll have to improvise." James gets very, very quiet for a moment, red-faced as his mind spins and then just goes blank, looks at the camera and meekly asks, "Im. Pro. Vise? How the hell do I do THAT?" PA answers, "I'm the PA, you're the comedian. Figure it out. Thirty seconds." So, really, really annoyed now, James just stares at the camera, fuming, and growls, directly addressing the television audience, "I am now going to commit the venal sin of creating dead air on live television. In protest... I think." And then he goes silent. With ten seconds left, the PA starts counting down and James looks more and more furious with each count until "One" is called and he just lets out a true fury-filled howl of anger. End skit.
