I agree with your entertainment comment, it was very hit and miss. the main complaint for me was the lack of solo meet ups, they tried to address it later in the cruise but it was too late by then.

Yes, it really was quite disappointing. Not sure if it's cost cutting or just they prioritise the bigger acts for the Edge class ships.

I loved this series and your comments are very fair. My husband and I did a B2B on the Silhouette in May/22 out of Southampton. We did a 7 day Norwegian Fjords cruise and then the 12 day Scandinavia cruise. I'm glad that you enjoyed the food because on both of these cruises the food was mediocre at best. We have sailed on a lot with Celebrity and came away very disappointed. On our cruise there was a huge group of gay men, probably 50 or more. Their biggest meeting place was the World Class Bar and Martini Bar. We are the white haired group, early 70s. We befriended a gay couple, late 30s from the UK and an Irish husband and wife in their early 50s and in fact, closed the Martini Bar at 2:30 am. one day and still communicate today. We also found the Entertainment meh. We then followed up on a sister ship, the Solstice in September/22 on a 7 day Pacific Coastal cruise and again, the food was very disappointing so based on your comments, Celebrity has upped its game. So, loving music we're going on a 35-day Hawaii/South Pacific/Marquesas Island cruise with Holland America in February/24, BUT likely an older crowd. On a side note, you want to visit gay bars, come to Vancouver, Canada. We are a very gay friendly city and the West End is hopping with gay bars. To sum it up, this really was a funny series and enjoyed it very much. Can't wait until your next one!

That's a shame to hear you had a poor food experience, we had heard mixed reviews prior to the cruise as well but I can't say we found much to fault. It was more the chaotic atmosphere of the Grand Cuvee and buffet that we were not fans of! Hope you have a fantastic cruise when you get to it in February, a 35 day break sounds amazing!

love your videos... My Husband and I are doing this cruise with 3 other couples. While we have done many Atlantis cruises which I have enjoyed I am both nervous and excited.

Thanks for posting guys, very informative, interesting and entertaining, we’re going to this ship to Fort Lauderdale in October from Southampton. We’re about 5 years older than you, hoping that the average age will be a bit lower and the Friends of Dorothy group maybe active!

I really enjoyed your video and totally agree regarding the entertainment. We found it very poor and repetitive. I only hope enough people reported it back to celebrity else it wont change. I think it's more to do with cutbacks than the fact that your cruise started in Southampton. I Sailed Princess and P&O from Southampton and have had much better entertainment from them. As I said in your last videos comments, we did the same cruise a couple of weeks ago, and it was a much younger crowd. Also, with it being Celebrity, it attracted a lot of people from Canada, America, and Australia. I think you were just unlucky. I still say one of Virgin Voyages should be your next ship to cruise on. I think Virgin would be perfect cruiseline for you. Do you live in Didsbury? Deb.x

It's a shame about the entertainment, definitely felt like a much reduced programme compared to the previous year on the Beyond. We possibly were unlucky with the crowd, I'm just glad we hit the jackpot with the weather which literally couldn't have been any better! I've been looking at Virgin cruises, I'm thinking the Spain/Ibiza/South of France one might suit nicely. We're just on the edge of the city centre actually, I like to be able to walk into town!
