I never cared too much for Kreese in the show other than him being a very interesting plot piece and visually looking amazing as a villain you really believe. But THIS Season 5...I guess I LOVED him. His spotlight truly hit here
@Ron-d2s9 ай бұрын
I've just realized it's not a contemporary story about a kid that learned how to kick then grew up. It's a morality play, a myth or legend. The Hero's Journey from Joseph Campbell's Power of Myth. The hero strives and stumbles then strives and succeeds. The bad guys are the bad guys. I'm not a fan of the idea of humanizing Kreese, It's like taking off Vaders mask. It might work at the last moment but up until that final flip to the light the bad guy should be the bad guy. G'kar Babylon 5: "We were the good guys, they were the bad guys. And their heads made a very satisfying *THUMP* when they hit the floor."

Guy looked genuinely scary af in the The Karate Kid, I wouldn't have crossed him w/o a gun. Intense acting, owned the role. The bully Johnny also brilliant...comes across as a arrogant bully but the movie peels some of the layers away and we find he was a nice person caught in a hate fueled web created by Crease who was using him as a proxy for his own misguided anger.
