in 1975 i used to frequent the Troubador in LA and every once in a while Rick (bartender) would let me into the shows for free. one night he says you gotta stick around for this one, iasked him who is it and he says Bruce Springsteen, i had never heard that name before so i stayed, the show not starting til after 2 am---he opened with an absolutely atomic version of the Crystals 'and then he kissed me'------it was unbelievable and didn't end to almost 6 am--one of 5 best rockn roll shows i ever saw

and he's really a nice guy, i used to make rock shirts and i saw him on lexington avenue once and said Bruce i got something for ya--he goes, oh yeah waddya got? im in my car and i start showin him some shirts, he goes i got one of those, what else ya got?--then he goes yeah ill take that one, thanks---it was mickey mouse dressed like a Ramone sayin Jersey Rocks--
