*Shirley Bassey concerts were events within themselves - I went to four between 1976 and 1990 and each one was different apart from the crowd response which was always lots of standing ovations and screaming and flowers and at the end everyone piling down the ailses to stand at the foot of the stage for the encores and she was in total control the whole time I don't know how she did it night after night for all those years Incredible*

A little story for all the Shirley Bassey fans , I had a client many years ago and he told me when he was a young Man he took Shirley out to dinner , I said OH YEA pull the other one , I said why did you take her out , he said because she didn’t have any money . So many months went by and I met him again and he put a photo of himself and Shirley coming out of I think one of Billy Smarts Circus tents , well I nearly fell on the floor there he was holding hands with Miss Bassey , she looked amazing as normal , oh his name was ? Elmer , one lucky guy
