You'd have to talk to his employers at Trader Joe's to get the real scoop on whether or not he's "working hard" at his job. I did a grocery stint for a couple of years out of highschool. I'll admit I worked pretty hard at times, but there were quite a few slackers that us hard workers had to make up for. Not saying Geoffry is one of those slackers, although I do question why a yale graduate would be relegated to such work for money- especially in this strong economy.

Geoffrey Owens is an awesome actor. And the fact that someone decided to take a picture of him at his job, it was published, and it appeared that the publishing was to intentionally harm his reputation is disgusting. Moreover, it was great that his friends and the people who cares about him came to his defense to prevent the continuation of the possibly sabotaging of his life. Though it appeared that his life was over because he has a regular job, he let it be known that he is not ashamed to have a regular job that is flexible while continuing to pursue his passion to get parts on TV shows. And his life was never over- Great job Geoffrey Owens!

What exactly do people think actors do when they don't have an acting job ? As I search for work in the industry I will be working at a convenience store. I have a friend that works at a pizzeria and another who does kids shows dressed as a superhero. Acting isn't always a full time gig it isn't an easy profession nothing is ever guaranteed.

That is what you call a Man, A man that does what he needs to in order to pay the bills!! No shame. It’s plenty of men who aren’t celebrities that don’t work they should be shamed.

Not a big deal. I work at Burlington and had a Software Engineer working with us as a cashier; she gets paid good doing her software engineering job, but she worked at Burlington on the side to get to know people since she was kinda lonely where she's at.

Burlington? ewe! I could see maybe working at Coach or somewhere like that, but Burlington? I guess the poor kids need clothes too, and someone has to sew them. Sorry about your situation. sad : (

I can't believe he was shamed for being a hard worker. It doesn't matter if it's in acting or a grocery store. He deserves the same respect as anyone else. That's just sad.
