I don't think I will listen to any other track as profound as this. I've found many of my favorite tracks mix three or more emotions together. This track's got like 20. It's the sorrow, the emptiness, the comfort, the paranoia, the stillness. Crazy.

I have become addicted to Celer, this music is pure genius... able to cure my anxiety and immense loneliness. Am i alone here?

+NGC_1277 With celer by feelings becomes abstract, surreal. I have the sensation that I'm not in this world, my soul splits of my body and materializes and I'm aware of everything. The same travel I have with Autechre but more violently

vonzo55 Me too, also with Autechre too, and Thomas Koner, Robert rich, and some absolutely incredible stuff i found lately from a label called cryochamber, in particular an album by a project called 'God Body Disconnect' which you'll love (apart from the first track probably)

Just knowing that Danielle has passed away makes Celer's music all the more sadder. May she rest in peace.

I have only heard a few songs that are as powerful and as thoughtful as this one.... It only adds to the haunting sound when you consider the fact that Danielle passed away. May her spirit rest in peace.

The flowers that will bloom long after I'm gone, are they all a part of me, could i be one with the eternal, the infinite, will those who have been here be remembered by thee, when will the sun rise for the last time assuming a beginning has an end, when?

From label: "(...) Cello, viola, violin and the sounds are mixed in with field recordings, choir. live theremin and then tape spliced and re-assembled in varying lengths to create a loop base. Those sounds are then sampled, layered and processed. The result is a shimmering orchestra..." I tried to imitate their sound, this is as close as i could get coldwombdescent bandcamp.com/track/empire-of-the-remnants

I've always wondered. I've been able to make some of it by processing a lot of guitar loops... but it still doesn't sound nearly as rich and incredible. I imagine they use a lot of processed synths. I know Stars of the Lid uses a lot of strings. It's possible this sound is produced from some string instruments run through post-processing. But I don't know entirely.
@PeopleinDreams4 жыл бұрын
dude i am baffled by it as well. Like it seems like a tape loop but it comes back slightly different sometimes so idk. it sounds like ->music ->small reverb (make it wet and mono) -> delay lots of feedback -> ANOTHER REV -> Tube distortion - > Tape loop.

what is meant by "the carved god"?
@MrNighNight8 жыл бұрын
This music is purely interpretative. Maybe the "created" god, how he was created(carved) by himself, or something in the universe. The three notes at the beggining that keeps repeating themselves is like that god, permanent and beautiful, a constant loop that in a particular moment, begins some sort of a machinery that brings life (the shouts). When the shouts starts its like a riot of some kind. Then, the "machine" starts shutting down (maybe tired). Perhaps because he's job is done, or some mistake happened(hatred, sin...) At 6:10 (the god is gone), there's only silence and some ethereal voices wandering in the void. Probably chaos? What remained of the universe? Ok, 8:37 the new three notes rises from nothing. The new god that carves himself (or is carved by the remains of chaos or even the energy of the universe itself) to bring order and start a new loop. Pileus are a really rapid formation of clouds, and like the three notes (the supposed god), the cicle itself is pretty quick. In a way that some religions believes in a god like: the divinity that lives among the clouds/sky and watches everything is one of the prime interpretations. But to me, it seems likely that the conception of time is questioned there. What is slow to us, the whole expansion of the universe, the whole creation maybe is "fast" in this music's god eyes.
