If there's one piece of music that inspires me more than anything, it's the whole opera sequence by Nobuo Uematsu from FFVI. It still amazes me to this day, and I really adore Celes' theme as the recurring motif through the sequence. It's one of the most beautiful pieces of music out there. I wanted to create an arrangement that borrowed from a few different versions of this song, and hope you guys enjoy it! (Please let me know if you know who drew the wallpaper and I will credit).

VI was before my time so I don't truly love everything about the game, but Celes is really genius. Terra is the hero, everyone loves her, she's always surrounded by people that thinks she's the most important, and then there's this lady who was also one of the top 3 in the Empire as well but faces rejection, mistrust, at best she's a replacment for an opera singer and a dead girl before she tries to end it in a world where she's by herself, then deciding she won't give up hope again before she finds her friends. Also fuck Locke.

@@Spaced92 All wrong. Terra isn't the hero shes one of the three protagonists, five if you count the brothers. Celes does give up and even attempts to kill herself out of grief, only regaining hope when she finds evidence Locke survived (in the cannon version). Though she does indeed fuck Locke but only after she helps him get over his guilt of getting his fiance killed.

It can't be understated just how impactful Cele's story arc and theme are. Without Celes, the world remains in ruin under the tyranny of Kefka.

Everyone thinks its Terra's story that steals your heart but for me it was always Locke and Celes

To me, the whole plot revolves around Locke. If it weren't for him, Terra would've been lost in the cave, Edgar wouldn't take action, and Sabin wouldn't leave the mountains to help with the resistance.
