1:30:50. This took me over 3 hours to beat, FOR NO REASON! I got to the top like 1 hour in , but couldn't didn't win. Then it became a thing for me, to try to beat it for a bit, then stop. One day I did an hour of attempts, but nowhere! Then I did about a half an hour another day, and managed to beat it. So I'm glad. i had something like 1700h in celeste when i started this playthrough tbf, a lot of people start playing d sides as their first mod which is not a great idea

Im glad i could get some help with figuring out the way to go in some rooms from this video. As a person who's done all golden berries through A-C chapters except farewell, I thought it was going to be a bit hard, but fun... ...But my experience went horribly as it progressed. 1D and 2D were fine. I did 3Dark in nearly 5 hours and thought ''That took a long time''... ...7D. Took me 24 hours, 40 minutes, 31 seconds, and 4459 deaths. I've never felt this much hatred towards a celeste map. I spent almost the whole yesterday from 12:00am to now, 3:19am, on the mirror temple and summit alone. Excluding time off watching youtube. I spent well over 8 of those hours on just between summit checkpoint 02 and the heart. I've eaten once in 26 hours, and im extremely tired. I'm never going to touch 7D, or do what I've just done, again.

i think a massive flaw with the d sides is that just by the name it tells people that you can play them after the c sides which like you can?? but dear god is it not a good idea i highly recommend final goodbye its a banger level but also play some other mods first to build your skill up gg on 7d clear tho

gg 8D is not nearly as painful as 7D btw, and also take regular breaks before you go insane in 9D (minimally skilled player, got through 7D and beyond with savestate practice, took me 8 hours to reach second key hub lmao)

I managed to beat 9D after just over 32 hours and 9333 deaths. Easily the hardest thing I've ever done in Celeste. I spent roughly 6 hours on the last room alone. I'm now taking my friend through 9D and he's just about halfway through the Black Karma checkpoint and he's really enjoying the challenge so far. Thanks for this video! It helped me a lot when I was going through 9D for the first time

Well I’ve made it through both 1 and 2-D with about 400-500 deaths so far on each of them. And seeing how those were done in below a 100 each here and how final goodbye has 12k, it might be safe to say I won’t ever finish the d-sides

Keep going! The D-sides are very difficult (I've taken many breaks, and will take many more), and I had around the same number of deaths on 1 and 2-D, and I'm now on 7-D, so I think you'll make it! The creativity in the rooms is really cool, especially how Monika builds on ideas more and more throughout the chapter.

The crystal heart room in chapter 2 is the hardest room I’ve ever played, the pink block jump to get onto the blue and pink back and forth up part is impossible, the blue block disappears when I try to land the neutral jump on it like you did and if I regular wall jump off it then the pink block is 0.000001 seconds away from appearing so I fall through it and die. It feels like they didn’t even play test the level properly because it shouldn’t be this hard, it feels like it’s based completely on luck.

I think a lot of the problem with d sides is that just by being d sides it kinda invites people to play them immediately after C sides, which like no I took 11 hours on my first playthrough and hated it lmao I would say that 6d was made aiming for a bit higher a skill level then where you were at when you played. GG on the clear tho :)

@@bevweb I think it is more of a combination of things I dislike in Celeste (bumpers and the Badeline fight). I am for sure skilled enough, I played through the entre Spring Collab but the rest of the D Sides are a blast to play and feel like they belong in the vanilla

The dark sides are remixes of the regular d sides with special gimmicks, like 2dark having fading light. The exception is 3dark which WAS old 3d, until an update about a month ago made it a proper darkside
