As a single mom with an autistic child, grabe yong luha ko dito ngayon. Saktong sakto sa kalagayan ko before na dumating din sa point na binigyan ko sya ng anak kasi nga baka magbago pa. Even I know na ikatlong panganay nya na anak ko. Almost 5 years of being together, wala pa rin pala. Sumakto rin yong video na to ngayon sa situation ko. Nakakapanghina kasi wala ng maasahan sa ama nyang manloloko, bigla pang kinut kakarampot nyang sustento (1k every month) kung kelan nag-aaral na anak ko. Grabe lang, kaya salute Ms. Candy. Btw, I was in denial before because of his case kasi di mo alam bat nagkaganun anak mo samantalang ingat na ingat naman ako during my pregnancy. Dumating yong time na halos araw-araw I questioned Him kung bat ako at anak ko pa. Pero mali ako kasi alam ko na may rason. Way na rin yon ni God na magfocus na lang ako sa anak ko siguro. Totoong hindi madali, sobrang hirap. Sa gastos sa therapy, daily needs, sa pag-aalaga. Kaya acceptance is the first key to find talaga lalo sa mga parents na may special kids. Isipin nyo na lang na kaya binigay satin to kasi alam ni God na buo natin silang mamamahalin at tatanggapin.❤ Dati gusto ko na rin mag-suicide sa dami ng prblema, pero biglang nabago ng anak ko kaya takot na ako mamatay ngayon eh. Gusto ko pa kasi na kasama nya ako habang lumalaki at tumatanda sya. Gusto ko ako ang magtatanggol sa kanya sa lahat. Basta takot na ako kasi hindi ko alam kung ano mangyayari sa kanya kapag mawala ako. 😢 Matuto tayong makuntento at magpasalamat sa binigay satin ni God kahit hindi yon ang inaasahan natin kasi tayo dapat ang unang makakatanggap sa kanila. At hanggang walang ambag ang ibang tao sa buhay natin, wag tayong magpaapekto. Magfocus tayo sa mga anak natin kung pano sila mapapalaking mabuting tao. ❤ Magdasal, magpasalamat sa lahat ng blessings lalo na sa lahat ng nagmamahal at gumagabay sa little one natin. My daughter also has autism. Difficult, but she has taught me so many precious things in life. Having her is humbling. Having her makes me realize that it's the little things that count. Ramdam kita Candy. My eldest son got autism too. I never saw anything wrong sa kanya kahit na 4 yrs old na siya at hindi pa rin siya masyado nagsasalita kundi iilang words lang. It was his teachers sa preschool ang nakapansin na may hindi normal sa kanya on his first day of school. Dun nagsimula lahat, we went to a general practitioner to a developmental pediatrician, to a psychologist and then speech therapist and occupational therapists. The only difference is nandito kami sa Australia. People with disability like our sons are treated way better here. People are open-minded. May batas that prevents discrimination against people with disability kasama dun ang mga autistic. Schools cannot say “No” to them, and most teachers would never ever exclude them from a graduation ceremony just because may tendency na magwala. If only they would be educated about autism and how autistic children process their world, I suppose they would better understand. I feel sad for Quentin but then you told about what you did, nag-arrange ka ng sariling graduation for him, I feel so happy for him kasi he has a mum and a group of people who loves him, that is how God loves him by giving you as his mom. I believe that children with disability has a very special place in Jesus’ heart and that when we are already in heaven, we will see them in the VIP seats. God bless Candy and Quentin. 🙏🏻

For me, ang factor is most likely the stress Candy underwent while she was pregnant. Stress affects the health of the unborn child...Even if docs say the cause is unknown, merin at meron yan. Pilite lang ang docs so wont cause mire depression sa mom, baka magsuicide or any self-harm kapag malaman na dahil ito sa pinagdaanan nya.

Me, too. I am an autism mom and my child with especial needs is now 24 yrs old. My son was deprived of oxygen when i was still carrying him inside my tummy. When i gave birth to him, nakapulupot ang ombelical chord around his neck. Kaya pala humihinto ang hearbeat nya during my labor. At age 4 he was diagnosed of autism. My son has low functioning autism and he did not go to college.

Naging preschool teacher ako for 2 years at may mga naging pupils with autism. Tinanggap sila ng school nang buong puso. I love them. Pinag-graduate sila with the rest of the kids. Sumikip ang dibdib ko sa experience ni Quentin na he was "pulled out". He didn't deserve that.

I will never forget the time when my husband said out of the blue, “I don’t know how you do it (working full-time, taking care of the household, a mom of 4 kids ranging from a toddler to teen agers, and a wife) because I can never do what you do”. That was the sweetest and most appreciative thing he have told me in our whole 20 yrs turning 21 yrs of marriage.

Honestly, then don't get married if you can't stay committed and loyal to your partner and kids. When my dad abandoned me and cheated, I didn't want to spend on engagement rings, weddings, home, and having kids. They are expensive and if I am not gonna raise a kid on a complete home then why should I bother. So I'll only consider marriage if the person really wants a life with me and grow old with me.

As a Psychologist I can say parents whom experienced the same thing with Candy is an epitome of bravery. Kylangan ko ndin cguro magpa konsulta😔 meron din akung anak . kambal sila 7mos. Ko sila nilabas .sabi dahil dW sa stress.kaya maaga sila lumabas. Ngayon mag 4yrs old na sila. Yung isa ok naman yung develop nya. At yung isa pakiramdam ko hindi sya katulad ng ibang bata😔 3yrs old sya ng matutong lumakad at ngayon hindi pa sya nagsasalita. Kung minsan inuuntog nya yung ulo nya sa mga bagay bagay. Katulad ng laruan . wala syang pake sa mga kalaro mag isa syang naglalaro . natatakot ako na baka iba na talaga. Hindi ko sya mapa check up dahil pandemic at walang pera😔 sinisisi ko yung sarili ko kung bKit nagkaganun sya😔 araw-araw kung iniisip na kasalanan ko lahat😔 hanggang ngayon ang bigat sa dibdib dahil sinisisi ko ung sarili ko bkt ganun yung anak ko😭

@@rosellpusing6265 prior to concluding the state of your child ma'am you still need to bring her/him to some specialist for a series of tests na gagawin sa kanya and let the specialist advice you the next thing to do. Hindi nman kasi agad2x ma dedetermine yung stado ng bata base sa kung ano nkikita or nararamdaman nyo sa kanya, mas better parin yung may medical advice para alam nyo po how to cater her/his needs dependi sa state nya. Ang importante wag nyo po sanang sukuan yung anak nyo. There being special is what makes them special. ❤️

Im working in High School SpeD department here in Rizal we cater different disabilities and i tell you i have a very fulfilling job ever.. its challenging at first pero if you put your heart into it hindi Mahirap.. Most people think that LSEN is hard to deal with but NO sila yung pinaka madaling kausap just don't complicate things.. treat them as a normal kid fucos on their abilities not on their disabilities 🙂

As a nursing student, I've already handled kids with special needs and I understand how Ms. Candy Pangilinan says that these kids will teach you a lot of things, like being grateful even in the simplest events in life. I hope and pray that someday people should learn to open up to these kids, they are so precious and they are not different. They are even much more sensitive than us that's why watching this hits me differently. ms. candy hindi ka nagiisa. marami tayong autism mom warriors. bilib ako sayo. sometimes i dont know what to do anymore esp since i live dito sa US. hindi sanay sa walang yaya, walang kasama. eventhough i was still married when we had our son. he is now 19 and working. it was a shock because be was offered the job. my son is now a proud dishwasher sa isang assisted living which offered him a job and his manager told me, he wishes everyone was like tristan. my proud moment. ❤❤❤ kapit, kasi no choice. pero no regrets because he is the sweetest. fyi - naka maintenance ako ng for anxiety and depression and alot of special needs parents here in the US are. from one special needs to another mom, we can do this!!! and your son will go far and fly... trust in the process. ❤
