Honestly, I think she should have just left. It would be really cool if the game gave players actual consequences for being a neglectful spouse by having their spouse leave them. Wooing said spouse back, if it’s at all possible, should be much harder than it was to get them to marry you in the first place, and if you neglect them again, you don’t get another chance. Maybe you could be allowed to remarry someone else, maybe it’s game over, but I think there should be a point where your spouse won’t take you back anymore.
