Explaining the importance of gradual change helped me so much! Thank you. All I ever hear is “QUIT NOW” “STOP IMMEDIATELY because what you’re doing is sinful and God is ashamed of you for it!” And every time I tried to go cold turkey it was exhausting and mentally consuming and after a few days of it I can’t even focus and I’m irritable and unhappy and eventually just cave and fall back into the routine. But I’ve found when I gradually take bigger and bigger steps, going longer periods with what my body is comfortable with, it is SO MUCH more of a positive experience and actually goes successfully. Thank You so much!

👀 Anyone interested in this topic of 'Brahmacharya' of Indian yoga should do a research of the concepts of 'ojas, prana & tejas' from the Ayurvedic medicine of India and also look for the concept of the 'Three Treasures' (San Bao) called 'jing, chi & shen' in Taoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Also take a look at the Kabbalah teachings related to the sephirah Yesod and finally read something about the view of celibacy from the Catholic perspective.👀

Hello brother. Thanks for sharing. It can definitely be done. Slow and steady wins the race. The one thing I would say is that sexual desire is not something we can tame by force, or will power alone. It will backfire. Sensual desires start to fade naturally when we begin to experience a greater joy - like the joy found in meditation. If you're able to create a consistent meditation practice, the rest will take care of itself. If you ever want to speak - you can book a call with me here - www.meditatewithrishi.com/talktorishi Much love to you.

It's ok like many months in but having unwanted sexual dreams that are very traumatizing and it's not wanted in the dream and these men hurt me ..even night terrors where a black clawed being is pressing on my chest and I cannot breath and choking me and trying to touch me in a bad way :(.. but I have been finally getting more lucid in these dreams and have been able to say no sometimes and maybe it's the demon of lust I don't know. It laughed an evil laugh it had red eyes and told me it owned me. But I am not ready to give up yet. I AM trying to heal sexual traumas. I am trying to excersize more and I am thinking much more clearly and my dreams when not that are more prophetic

Is Chanting Aum for 20 mins every morning and before going to bed along with celibacy is enough for aligning the energies and going on to a spiritual path? And am I developing ojas by doing so?
@MeditateWithRishi3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ritvik. I get why you're asking that, but there is no way to measure that - and perhaps not the right way to look at it. Pick any practice you like (like Aum chanting), and just do it. Consistently. With total faith. Everyday. You are already on the path. What needs to happen will happen naturally, at the right time. The real teacher is already within you. Follow that. And keep it simple.
@ritvieksaxena3 жыл бұрын
@@MeditateWithRishi Thankyou so much Rishi for your reply. Yes I feel you are absolutely right about this, I have been doing Aum chanting and following celibacy after waking up whole night at the Mahashivaratri consistently. The changes are tremendous, I have become much more confident, I became more stable, I've started taking care of my self, I've started looking upon one's intentions insted of judgeing everyone on the basis of their actions, I have developed a sence of love for everyone and everything around me, my habbit of smoking cigarettes have almost vanished, my will power has become soo strong like never before, I feel that life has started happening more smoothly with decreasing resistance after my each session of Aum chanting and much more. I just love my new life, but there's a question that comes into mind everytime, that are my current practices enough to stay on the same path or should I go for something more? And there's one more question, that while following celibacy if nightfall happens naturally, will I loose the retained energy or is it totally fine if it happens?
@MeditateWithRishi3 жыл бұрын
@@ritvieksaxena Hi Ritvik. I'm glad to hear all those positive changes. They are all signs of progress, real signs. Now, on the question of nightfall. Is it occasional or regular? If occasional, it is nothing to worry about. It is pretty normal and natural. Remember brahmacharya is not only about semen retention, it is cultivating a mind that is pure. So simply doing our practice, (japa, meditation, etc) slowly but surely, will purify the mind. Regarding current practices, what do you mean by something more?
@ritvieksaxena3 жыл бұрын
@@MeditateWithRishi The nightfall is occasional like once in a month or so.. And if you ask about something more I don't know because still there is some kind of longing within myself which doesn't let me feel the sence of fulfillment.

Do you have any tips for transmuting the energy?
@MeditateWithRishi3 жыл бұрын
Great question. To be honest, I don't know. From what I've gathered, either there are specific ways to do it (which are beyond my reach). Or, simply doing your meditation is sufficient. Because, if we think about it, energy follows attention. So by focusing our attention on meditation (or whatever work we choose to), that is where the energy is directed. I don't think it needs to be more complicated than that. Hope that helps.

Hey so my personal opinion on transmuting is ACTION. For me personally it’s going to gym, training Muay Thai, meditating, reading, or creating music. All of these things draw from my inner power. Basically exercise, skills, creation, learning. Any of those that resonate with you, do it to your best ability.

I can understand this but you can't force the other partner to be celibate just because you are following celibacy which ends with very disastrous outcomes can you please give me any idea to balance the other person. (Tbh I'm worried for restricting not to have s3x and at the sametime I have seen many people breaking up due to lack of physical intimacy which make me worried in both ways) Is there is anyway like moderation or something for this? I have seen a video explaining a person should follow on certain days and still considered as a brahmacharya but that lacks references. I would be happy if I get a reply from you. THANK YOU.

Life has led me to be accidentally celibate for 6 years while also on the biggest acceleration of my spiritual path. It’s only now, all these years later, that I see the connection. How funny. Also, one of my spiritual teachers teaches bramachariya, but I’ve never been interested in it. Only now am I thinking.. “ah yes, this might be something that’s been gifted to me without realising”. (I’ve been with my partner for 7 years and we are peaceful but don’t have sex. It’s never been a problem and now I see why)

What will be the substitute of semen retention for women ?!! 🤔.
@MeditateWithRishi2 жыл бұрын
Hi Zerin, great question. I do get why you're asking. So it may help to understand that ultimately, it's the orgasm where sexual energy is released. It's to do with the firing of the nervous system during orgasm that releases a lot of energy. The aim is to conserve this energy. Hope that clarifies and also remember this shouldn't be forced. We shouldn't forcefully restrict ourselves as that can have negative effects. Instead, through a consistent meditation practice, we gradually see a decrease in desire for sense pleasures - be it sex, or smoking/drinking. Hope that helps!
